There's plenty of evidence this #SundayMorning that Trump knows he's losing & it's not just in the polling numbers.

Signals from Trump's own campaign indicate this presidency is in its death throes and thrashing about helplessly for a lifeline.

Ads had been focused on painting Biden as an advocate of defunding the police, a talking point that has been repeatedly debunked.

Authoritarian crackdowns in cities, undermining the USPS, and threats to delay the election are signs of desperation.

So Donald Trump Jr, hangs out with the Kingston Clan, huh?

In case you weren’t aware, the Kingstons are a polygamist sect whose members have been convicted and served time for fraud and incest.

This #SundayMorning we're wondering why the Trump administration chose to launch Operation Legend. What's the real intent behind the authoritarian crackdown?

Spoiler: I think Trump and his team made a YUGE miscalculation. Let me explain why.

(2) According to Barr, Operation Legend was launched in response to a surge of violent crime across the country. Has there been a surge? Technically, yes.

But that surge, mostly overblown, is likely caused by rising unemployment & the pandemic.

(3) Historically, surges in both property crime and some violent crimes can be attributed to unemployment and economic inequality.

Essentially, Trump has created a problem and now is playing "fixer" by stomping in with his big fascist boots.
