TRACK 2 – ISOTYPE
Originally intended to be a short rather esoteric piece about the International System of Typographic Education. Basically, the reduction of words and concepts into symbols. One of the tracks using the text to speak voices that we liked when making the album.
Paul loved the idea so much that he insisted on trying a melody. The tune was so good that I knew I had to try to create a song. But what the fuck do you sing about Isotype?! I made it into an analogy that Emojis are the new hieroglyphics.
Thank you - both TPOL and Isotype sit very well in our set with the old songs
Hi Christine!

It used to be that we only had time to do whatever we could do. Now it's done when we feel we have something worth putting out. We are proud of OMD and we do not wish to release crap new music!

Thanks Steph - how's the phone box?

First time I ever quoted Shakespeare in a song - "solemn shades of endless night"
