With 10 deaths reported this weekend in Ohio (Sat + Sun total), it is the lowest non-July 4 weekend Covid-19 total since March in the state.

Disclaimer: this doesn't mean there were only 10 deaths this weekend, but only 10 new being reported officially over previous totals.
Expect all 88 counties in Ohio to be elevated to Purple Alert status on Wednesday now.

I'm gonna level with you, in March I was just a podcaster and data dude with an opinion. Now, I've heard from doctors, epidemiologists, state, local and federal officials, journalists etc. I'm telling you the data you're seeing on Twitter is better and that's why they're using it
There is a lot of great work being done by researchers out here right now that is now being looked at by media and all levels of government. It's because even qualified experts have been lazy and ignorant on this virus. It's been eye opening to hear stories.
I am not joking, these are all blue checkmark epidemiologist/virologist types: in this epidemic, one didn't know where to find state CASE data; another didn't know some states reported ICU data found on CTP; a third didn't know state death reports weren't by date of death.

Seasonal pattern of Covid-19 deaths compared to embedded chart of 1964-75 flu outbreak by four seasons. Countries & states split into 35+ N. Lat, 0-35 N, 0-30 S and 30+ S. Flu is the same except 0-30 and 30+ North. This is a striking similarity. Match this with left half of Flu. Image
