21ST CENTURY ACTS OF EVANGELISM/GIVING DA'WAH HUMANELY

m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid…

I would like to start by telling us that the methods of evangelism or giving da'wah handed over to us by the past Evangelists/Du'ah (plural of Da'i) are no longer acceptable in the present Image
2. world we operate. Unfortunately, almost all continents have changed their own system but Africans stick to theirs like they stick to several other policies, governance and ways of life handed over to us by the aforementioned.

Since the purpose of our converting people into
3. our religion is because we love them and want them to enter Paradise but not Hellfire, an effective Evangelist/Da'i of the 21st century must have the following underlisted:

1.) Get tutored on the 21st century methodology of evangelism or giving da'wah.

2.) You must have a
4. sound knowledge of your own religion beyond doubt.

3.) You must have the ability and scriptural knowledge to attend to any question that has to do with the tenets of your religion and the practices therein.

Example:

For a Muslim Da'i, you must have scriptural references to
5. your mode of worship. Same is applicable to a Christian Evangelist.

4.) You must choose your area of concentration. If your target, as a Christian Evangelist, is on converting Muslims, you must concentrate on that. If that of a Muslim Da'i is on coverting Jews, he must stick
6. to that.

Be specialized in your thematic area or target population.

5.) You must then take time to study the religion from which you want to convert its followers. You must know more than the basis of such religion. You must know this without biase or intention of twisting
7. the meanings or interpretations of their Scripture.

6.) You must learn patience, get listening hears, and be eloquent.

After you acquired the above, below are the methods to adopt.

1.) Make a friend with your target. Be nice to him/her and let him/her have confidence in you
8. and as well grant you audience on issues.

2.) Start your evangelism/da'wah by asking him/her questions about his religion. S/he might think you want to convert to his/her religion and would be glad to respond. Kindly ask your questions clearly and without any form of
9. humiliation.

E.g.

For Christian Evangelist:

Why do you Muslim pray 5 times a day?

Can you show me in your Scripture where God ask you Muslim lady to cover your head?

For Muslim Da'i:

What's the mode of worship prescribes in the Bible?

What's the significance of cross
10. in the Bible?

3.) If your target couldn't answer the questions you pose, you may ask him/her to ask his/her Pastors/Alfas.

4.) If s/he couldn't get you response, you can then provide him/her with the response, based on his/her religious Scripture.

NB: recollect that you
11. are already equipped with the knowledge of the target's religion

5.) After telling him and showing scriptural evidences of your response from his/her religious Holy Book, then comes the opportunity for you to sell your own religion.

6.) A good 21st century Evangelist/Da'i
12. would even go into buttressing his own religious facts with the texts of the target's religious Scripture.

Above are the peaceful and most respectful ways of evangelizing and giving da'wah in this 21st century.

The era of forcing pamphlets, posters, and fliers on people in
13. schools, on the streets, in buses, at workplaces etc has ended in advanced countries and has to end in Africa.

Those who evangelize or give da'wah in developed countries of UK, U.S., Canada, etc do have a stand/kiosk where they display loads of posters, fliers, books about
14. their religion, and their scripture on the stand. People would be working pass them and only those who stop by to pick those stuff and ask them questions would they attend to. No one goes round knocking people's doors or forcing pamphlets on passersby.

We Africans should let
15. our education impact our ways of life and mode of engaging our people. We are not animals or slaves. We are human and we should cultivate the habit of engaging ourselves humanely.

Since my years in the United States, I am yet to see a Jehovah Witness, Teblig, The Muslim
16. Brothers, Redeemers, etc knocking at people's doors for evangelism or da'wah.

I pray this generation of Africans get it right and do things rightly.

May the era of going to the Mountains, sleeping in the church/mosque, seeking miracles, going to Assalat/Vigil because of
17. getting spiritual help to secure jobs, get a child, get healing, attack enemies, etc end in Africa.

May the present generation get it right that churches or mosques are not recruitment agencies to get jobs, neither are they gynecologists that we need to consult for
18. childlessness, nor a hospital to getting healing, and not financial literacy school to getting wealthy.

I hope we would all be distinguished and get guided after this course. May the education we acquire
19. distinguish us from the unlettered.

Dear #EndSARS Protesting Youth,

You may not like my face and sense of reasoning but kindly understand President Buhari's Speech beyond the spoken. Many unspoken words must be clearly understood from his speech.

👉 He has cautioned protesters against the continuation
2. of protests.

👉 Cautioned international community against hasty sanctions and judgement

Consequently, I won't be surprised if Military brutally engage protesters or hoodlums from tomorrow onwards. His were short words with pregnant tactics.
3. Believe me or not, International community will exercise caution owing to the widespread fake videos, photos,
claims and news being unravelled about the Lekki Tollgate Shootings. The government already has evidences to push forward in exonerating itself from international

CAN WE UNDERSTAND OURSELVES BETTER?

As a people of Africa whose modes of worshipping God differ, consequent upon the religions we practise, could we then learn coping mechanism in relating with one another, inspite of the existence of heterogeneity? Image
2. ACT 1

A Christian gets angry when s/he sees a Muslim who refuses to either close his/her eyes or say 'Amen' when the Christian leads a prayer. A Muslim picks enmity in the manner a Christian refuses to say Amen to his prayers too.

In the above scenarios, both the Christian
3. and the Muslim are acting under glaring ignorance and are both unnecessarily seeking validation in the wrong place.

A conscious Christian would never say 'Amen' to a Muslim's prayer said in Arabic and in which he mentions Allah.

WHY?
How do you want someone to say AMEN to
