BREAKING: Trump sues Nevada over mail-in election bill.

(She opposed the bill but had to be named as chief elections officer.)
And now I know why Schlapp said ballots can be cast three days after Election Day. That is central to this lawsuit, that if you can't be sure when the ballot was postmarked so it might have been mailed after Election Day. This case could be precedent-setting. Folks:

He has hired some of the best attorneys in the state to be local counsel. How do I know they are some of the best attorneys in the state? Because they have been my lawyers for decades and given legal advice to @TheNVIndy, too!

So a shameless huckster and three members of the Las Vegas City Control Group organize and hype a "Blue Lives Matter" march on the Strip this weekend, promoted by the Clark County Republican Party. What could go wrong?
I am reminded by a friend that one of the leaders (@VoteFiore) of this "Blue Lives Matter" march said in 2015 of an African-American lawmaker: "I can tell you the great respect I have for my peer Mr. Munford being the first colored man to graduate his college..."
And she added...
@VoteFiore “We’re in 2015, and we have a black president, in case anyone didn’t notice, so the color and the race issue — I think it’s time that we put that to rest.”

So @mayoroflasvegas is speaking at the beginning of the council meeting (in halting manner from a prepared statement) giving advice to @GovSisolak on unemployment office staffing and talking about people calling her. She is quoting from people having trouble getting benefits.
@mayoroflasvegas @GovSisolak Of course there are many horror stories to tell, but what is the mayor of Las Vegas trying to accomplish by reading these stories? Oh, and by the way, look what signs spontaneously appeared at the meeting after the mayor has destroyed her credibility. Who is "we," pray tell?
@mayoroflasvegas @GovSisolak She is now criticizing the governor's plan for not being specific enough.

"All I have is my voice and I promise I will not stop speaking," she says. Loud applause.

Now they are playing a video of people supporting Goodman. This is...pathetic. And has no place at a govt meeting.

We obtained a cache of internal city of Las Vegas emails showing @mayoroflasvegas has for more than a month been "so eager to provide comfort to financially hurting constituents that she often counterfactually downplays the very real threat of COVID-19..."
@mayoroflasvegas Emails show Goodman was supported by some, including ex-Lt. Gov. @Hutch4Nevada who praised her "Courage and Leadership," said she has "an army of supporters!" Emails also show mayor pro tem's COVID-19 denial and another councilman's fear he was exposed to the virus. Great read.
@mayoroflasvegas @Hutch4Nevada In emails, Goodman told a visitor struggling to receive a refund for a (condo) deposit that “the cure is going to be worse than the crisis,” touted a vaccine as “equally or more important” than testing...(and used FDR's iconic phrase): “We have nothing to fear but fear itself.”
