Just a reminder that the Republicans took less than four weeks to pass the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 to redistribute billions (if not more) in wealth to the top 1%. Now, in the middle of a pandemic, these same Republicans can't seem to find any money for working Americans.
In July, 32% of American families missed or couldn't completely pay their housing costs for the month. I'm sure that number is going to go up in August. And, in response to that fact, the Republicans are going home this weekend. Trump is playing golf. And families are in crisis.
American families who, by no fault of their own, aren't able to work because of a pandemic that this government has failed to adequately address need to look no further than the Republicans and their inability to rationally govern and direct their ire at them on November 3.
Just remember; when it was time to give the rich a tax break that they didn't ask for or need, Republicans had a plan and they executed it flawlessly. But when it's time to help out regular working folks in a crisis that wasn't of their own doing, the GOP wants "fiscal restraint"
