8. Unprecedented abuse of process under GEJ

12 February 2014: Jonathan 'suspended' after covernor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, after he accused the government of a $20 billion fraud in NNPC.

A central bank governor is an independent & secure position the world over. S/he cannot be removed except by the concurrence of the legislature. In Nig, it is a 2/3 majority of the senate. GEJ unilaterally removed Sanusi & called it a 'suspension' but even that was unprecedented

The position is protected. If they can only be removed by the concurrence of the senate (which approves the appointment) the same applies to suspension. GEJ flouted this. Buhari took it to the 'next level'. The present CBN governor is practically his lackey & that of his cabal

Never has this been. Buhari used the same 'logic' to cross over from the executive to 'suspend' the judge of Nigeria, without recourse to the legislature. Tomorrow he can also suspend the senate president, speaker, etc.
