Most painfully, today is 1,619 days since school girls of Government Secondary School, Chibok were abducted in their school on April 14, 2014- BBOG #BringBackOurGirls
Of the 219 of the Chibok school girls that were abducted, 107 are back and 112 of their schoolmates remain captives of terrorists. Today is also 212 days since Leah Sharibu was abducted- BBOG #BringBackOurGirls
Leah is the lone Dapchi school girl who was left behind with terrorists, after the Presidency negotiated release of her 104 colleagues in March 2018- BBOG #BringBackOurGirls
Today I am going to talk about marriage and the little things that we do not really think they matter but they are really what makes or break marriage overtime #HappyMarriage
It is normally said marry someone you like. Like for me is more important in marriage than love. Love is important don't get me wrong but it's like that gets one through the years and years😁 #HappyMarriage
Love is a consuming high energy emotion. Like is a more subtle and durable emotion that is mostly stable. Love can be unstable. There is a thin line between love and hate. #HappyMarriage
So Kwankwaso has been denied use of Eagle Square? When they say injustice to one is injustice to all many don't think deep about it. When citizens where being harassed by this govt Kwankwaso was silent. Today it's his turn.
We stand against injustice & say this is unacceptable
If Kwankwaso had spoken against the injustice of shrinking civil space they might have been wary of shrinking political space but then he was silent because na dem dem.
Today it's his turn and we would not be silent because INJUSTICE TO ONE IS INJUSTICE TO ALL
So now that Kwankwaso has been denied use of Eagle Square let me tell him there is Unity Fountain Abuja which citizens defended at the risk of their lives while he looked the other way and enjoyed the perks of power. At the end we are all VICTIMS
I am going to do a loooooong thread. So many jumbling thoughts I have on women, rights feminism, big mouth, loud mouth, submissive, freedom, being you, whatever. It sure going to be jumbled but my thoughts over time. #IAmMe
First of all I am called a woman because I have the reproductive organs of a female. So WOMEN is not one person but different people who just happen to share the same reproductive organs.
Stop lumping them into one being. They are different & have a right to different wants #IAmMe
Every woman is an individual who has a right to her individuality. Every woman has a right to do what she wants to and how she wants to whenever she wants to.
No one woman's right is more important than another woman's right #IAmMe
Ayi do you still have money left over from the pocket money given to you?
Those words marked the new phase of my life. I was 11 and wondering why my mum asked the question. She has never been interested in my pocket money.
A senior had asked I should lend her the money and I had given her. That senior is the only person whose name I remember from that school. Months later my parents would go back for the money and provision and of course there was no money
My conversation with you inspired this write up and I wil call it #DreamForAll
As a child I discovered books and it opened up a whole new world for me. You wouldn't find me without a book. I read and read and read.
During holidays I read everything I could get my hands on. I read all the books my Dad had in his library. I read encyclopedia, books on psychology, motivational books. By age 12 I was reading Dale Carnegie and co. I read because I had to be reading something.
Ironically for all my reading I never developed the habit of reading Newspaper. My father was an avid reader of Newspapers still is. He used to buy 5 Newspapers everyday (Daily Times, Concord, New Nigeria, X X) I cant remember the other two then there was a weekly one on business
I saw this tweet & felt relieved that PMB @MBuhari is finally ready to take up his responsibilities as Commander-In-chief until I saw another tweet that showed he was out of the country and as usual acts and speaks when out. He insults our sensibilities
We would talk & talk. We would demand & demand and yet the President would be mum until he travels out of the country then he speaks to the people that matter to him. This has been ongoing right from the beginning of this administration and we the CITIZENS condoned it
As citizens we have refused to make demands on our leaders and worse is when we attack others who make demands on our leaders.
We don't owe them encouragement, we don't owe them praises we don't owe them servitude.
They owe us service. They owe us accountability & transparency
President Goodluck Jonathan was clueless inept & incompetent President who always saw himself as the boy without shoe. GMB did not win 2015 elections. GEJ lost it with his massive cluelessness which sycophants like you kept fanning. As Commander-In-chief he was a joke
An agency headed by one who is accused of forgery is not one that has credibility of releasing anything that can be taken at face value. With the silence from both the ministry and Presidency we are selling the 419 image to the world as a Nigerian image #KAForgery
Nigerians going about their legitimate business would be paying the price of not only the accusation levelled against their Minister of Finance but also the seeming support and endorsement of criminality by the Nigerian government headed by President Buhari @MBuhari #KAForgery
Those who have reduced their ages, got exams written for them, forged all sorts of documents would think what the Minister of Finance is being accused of is nothing important but it is. It is a criminality of the highest order and heads should be rolling #KAForgery
If GEJ is the other candidate
You were busy with your sycophancy and missed many of my tweets just the way the Buharists are behaving defending a failed government. Shame has deserted Nigeria else you wouldn't still be talking.
You probably didn't look at it from that angle but it is sexual harassment. I cringed watching the video. "I am fasting don't let me break my fast?"
Even though I don't understand Yoruba to get all he said the English I got was very predatory. Its verbal sexual harassment
Many acts of harassment are looked upon as nothing but they are & they can be destructive to d person at the receiving end. Some harassment are in the form of looking. Some use their eyes to make u uncomfortable. It has nothing to do with one's dressing more of sense of ownership
The other day at a seminar a man grabbed the hand of the lady serving food and kept it on his lap. I couldn't hear what he was saying to her and she was laughing just the way this reporter was laughing. Now I realise its our coping mechanism in this part of the world
This news when I first heard it touched a deep core in me. That could have been my child. Till now what the parents must be going through hits at me intermittently. The siblings, the friends, everyone! The pain is crushing. My son has started driving now I experience a new fear
One of my greatest weakness is I empathise too much. I make it my own. Tragedy happens to another and I imagine it's my own person and I take on the pain. What I did to mitigate this was not to listen to news or read Newspaper but joining social media took that away
A family is right now grieving when they should have been celebrating. A life cut down with al it's dreams and aspirations. A life that served her Nation. A nation that doesn't care.
Police men killed and not a word on @PoliceNG handle. No outrage! No anger! Just cold silence. If men and women of @PoliceNG are killed and there is nonchalance from them, is it citizens life that would mean anything to them?
Today's victims were yesterday's survivors
Criminals are the same and everywhere. We keep giving them different names to fit our narratives. They are united in killing us while we are divided in labelling them.
Tomorrow's victims would be today's survivors Who's next?
While they kill police with impunity what would they do to us? While @PoliceNG keep men at Unity Fountain Abuja to stop protesters protesting criminals are killing their officers
Those who have been killed would not be killed again. The next to be killed is from us the living
Since we all are back to 2014 it's time I share the Citizens Solutions To End Terrorism put together by @BBOG_Nigeria and @EiENigeria from what was crowdsourced from Nigerian citizens. Check for all that was demanded for welfare of security agents #BringBackOurGirls NOW AND ALIVE
In 2014 citizens took time to proffer solutions towards ending terrorism. It's sad that after change of administration all seem to remain the same
Citizens must continue to make demands and not give up. We would not get tired. We would continue to make DEMANDS!
Prof Yemi Osinbajo @ProfOsinbajo
The green snake under green grass. Do you know those rats that would eat your toes and would fan you to keep you sleeping? In the morning you would wake up with feet that hurts? That's Professor Osinbajo for you.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo @ProfOsinbajo goes around and gives sweet words like codeine and you think you are hearing good meanwhile he is killing you softly with his silence.
Vice President has given his allegiance and it is not to the people of Nigeria or even Nigeria. It is to the President and his party. He has chosen to be the obedient servant. He has chosen himself and the prestige that comes with office.
It says a lot abt the intelligence & character of GEJ's supporters who are all over our TL telling us how we voted PMB & how it's our fault what's happening & how he has to be voted out by us!
2015 WE VOTED OUT GEJ'S INCOMPETENCE WITHOUT REFERRING TO U WHO VOTED HIM
VOTE HIM OUT!
Stop whining, stop being Lily livered stop being a wimp, stop being a coward, stop making excuses.
Get to work and vote PMB out.
Most importantly stop the self defeatism. That you lost 2015 is not a reason to accept failure as normal.
GO OUT AND BE HEARD
Nobody sought your permission to protest against GEJ why are you asking for permission and validation to protest against PMB? Is it fear?
This system of teaching killed our critical thinking
Mr Giwa is a shopkeeper. He has a shop in Lawal's village. His shop is full of things to buy. He sells.......
Q:Who is Mr Giwa?
A:Mr Giwa is a shopkeeper
Q:Where does Mr Giwa has a shop?
A:He has a shop in Lawal's village
This was from one of the textbooks I used in primary school. All through my primary and secondary education I loved English-language. It was my most effortless to pass subject. I never needed to read it for exams or anything
When I changed school from a government secondary school Government Girls Secondary School Kabo to BUK Staff Secondary School it was tough. I realised I was local champion in my government school. I bounced back after a few years. From being laughed at to top English student
