in 2016, there was an Office of the Director of National Intelligence assessment that was basically ignored. Here's part of a new one:
Russia is using "a range of measures to primarily denigrate former VP Biden and what it sees as an anti-Russia"
dni.gov/index.php/news…
American intelligence states: "pro-Russia Ukrainian parliamentarian Andriy Derkach is spreading claims about corruption--including through publicizing leaked phone calls"

This information has appeared on OANN, and GOP senators & House members have not denied they've taken it too
the ODNI statement also identifies China and Iran as concerns.
"We assess that China prefers that President Trump – whom Beijing sees as unpredictable – does not win reelection."
on Iran, the warning is not specific to a candidate, but to the hopes of tearing the country apart:

"We assess that Iran seeks to undermine U.S. democratic institutions, President Trump, and to divide the country in advance of the 2020 elections."
the "secret recordings" of Biden out of Ukraine that US intelligence have now stated are part of a Russian effort to disrupt the elections have been shepherded along by @RudyGiuliani, the president's personal lawyer. He's also the one who brought OANN's Chanel Rion to Ukraine.
When I asked Chanel Rion in June how she got the recordings that American intelligence now says are part of Russian disruption efforts, she wouldn't say. When I asked how she'd verified them, she said, “I don't want to tip off anybody.” theatlantic.com/politics/archi…
So where we stand, less than three months before the election is that American intelligence is saying there are multiple foreign efforts to disrupt our democratic process, and that one of those is being helped by the president's own lawyer and his favorite TV channel.
2 days ago, from the Wash Post:

"Derkach told The Post this month that he has sent documents to [Ron] Johnson’s and [Chuck] Grassley’s Senate committees."

American intel has now publicly assessed this info is part of an anti-Biden effort by the Kremlin

washingtonpost.com/national-secur…
Prior to today's intelligence assessment, Johnson and Grassley wrote they have “neither sought out, relied upon, nor publicly released anything that could even remotely be considered disinformation.” T

They accused Democrats of pushing this narrative.

Trump and Biden campaigns take different tones in responding to the intelligence assessment, but both blame the other for not being strong enough:
