Thread: Vibe check test

Answer this one question 🔎

The ONE major difference between a great life vs a boring life 👇🏼
🔎 Memory Recall reveals A LOT about you

We all have differences in how well we remember things

However this is a obvious test

To determine where you stand in terms of ‘how you are living your life’
Someone who lives in a tiny town,

- Hardly talks to anyone
- Does pretty much the same thing everyday

Has stronger memory recall

A conversion he had with a stranger at the gas station

He will remember the specifics of what was said
🔎 Here is the key difference

Do you remember the specifics in detail?

OR

Do just remember the vibe & have a few overall snapshots of what went down?
If you go on one date a year

You’ll remember it IN GREAT DETAIL

The specifics of what was said & done

Without having to think too hard

Because it’s so rare & significant the mind remembers the specifics
But go on 1 date a week

At the end of the year you’ll need to really sit down & think

Trying to remember the specifics

Likely unable to. Heck you may not even remember some of the dates

More so just a snapshot of the overall vibe/emotions around that day
🔑 But this reveals such a important life lesson

The less we take advantage of the moments in life

The bigger & scarier they appear

Which then makes us seize less moments

Downward cycle
If I tweet 10 things or so a day

That’s 3,650 tweets a year

WAY less pressure than 1 Thread a month

That pressure is what creates resistance and makes us fear taking action
I genuinely would have to sit & think to tell you what I tweeted this morning

I forget very soon

I take 15 minute walking breaks in between work.

Kinda get into a flow state & it just happens through me

🔑 Flow = Bliss = Happiness
🔑 That quick forgetfulness is essential

You’ll take advantage of more opportunities

Because they’re no a big deal to you, there’s no pressure

You’re always Putting yourself out there, it’s nbd

You’re always showing up, it’s nbd
When you’re with close friends you trust

No dense expectation or pressure

You’re in a flow state

Jokes, wit, conversation just flows through you without calculation
A indicator of a good approach to life is looking at the original point of this thread:

- How often are we in flow states

- How often are we seizing the day & experiencing things in flow
🧠 Memory recall (or lack thereof) can be a measure of this

When we remember the overall vibe and not the specifics

Major events like your first date ever with your wife, yes you’ll remember specifics

But in general, day to day
One good night out with friends a year you’ll remember it in perfect detail

2-3 times a month - less memory recall more so overall vibe

This lack of specifics in memory

🧭 Can be used to gauge how much are we really living, experiencing, seizing the moments
“This moment contains all moments”
