Good Morning Strzelecki !
Branch line from Koo Wee Rup, ~30 miles (49 km).
Opened 1922. Section Triholm - Strzelecki closed 1930 due to a 'swaying' trestle bridge which VR decided to not repair. Yannathan to Triholm was closed on 7 August 1941.

Strezlecki line was also known as McDonald's Track Railway.
Bayles to Yannathan closed on 15 April 1950. The line to Bayles was kept open until 4 February 1959 to serve a butter factory.

Frederick Bayles was the first member of the Railway Construction Branch to be killed in WW1.

Strzelecki Station was the only station on the line to be fitted with a 53-foot turntable.

After the closure to Strzelecki in 1930 locos ran tender first one direction.
River washed sand was transported to the line by narrow gauge tramway.

Strzelecki - Gangers headquarters, tool shed and departmental residence. Goods facilities at the station included goods loading platform, goods shed and cattle and sheep yards. Motor gang trolleys were also kept at the station.
