Thread on @Ayaan's appearance on @TuckerCarlson
As far as I can tell everyone involved here is wrong (to varying degrees) including @JoeBiden.

The issue at hand is a Hadith Biden quoted about standing up against evil, which on the face of it could be interpreted positively /1
The problem is the Hadith talks about taking direct action against something entirely nebulous. According to many fundamentalist Muslims that includes 'righting wrongs' that the state is unwilling or unable to do. It's the justification often used by terrorists for violence. /2
Here's a video of a Muslim student who killed his professor and justified it by stating that the Pakistani government was unwilling to kill blasphemers (since they released Asia Bibi) /3
This is also similar to the justification used by Mohammed Bouyeri who killed Ayaan's friend Theo Van Gogh and wanted to kill Ayaan. He stated that "in the fight of the believers against the infidels, violence is approved by the prophet Muhammad". /4
It also doesn't merely extend to violent actions by fundamentalists but extends to how Muslim societies justify enforcing religious standards. It's their duty to do as commanded by Mohammed (not enforcing religion is allowing evil which is the weakest state of faith...) /5
Ayaan is correct to note that Biden's media team should have been more aware of that context and avoided that Hadith. That lack of understanding or even purposefully ignoring context however does not constitute 'enforcing' sharia (Islamic religious law).. /6
The rest of Biden's address ( ) is routine electioneering including pointing out the rapid rise of anti-Muslim bigotry and Trump's role in it, which unsurprisingly Trump partisan Tucker Carlson rejects entirely. /7
Another Biden talking point that Tucker was upset about was a suggestion that Islam should be taught in school, suggesting Biden was being hypocritical in terms of his views about the establishment clause (separation of church and state). /8
Absent further evidence it's safe to assume Biden was NOT suggesting Americans be indoctrinated into Islam but that people understand Islam, that it should be a part of curricula wherever other religions are taught (social studies?) /9
If Islam was accurately and honestly taught (not apologism), it would lead to the rapid proliferation of #exMuslims - a net positive for humanity imo (Less people believing in superstitions is a general good) /10 (FIN)
