A timely reminder from @COVID19actuary (and death stats is their business) that the latest Government jiggery-pokery on CV19 death data makes the official total “significantly less accurate” (an undercount) with the ONS death data and excess death data the most reliable indicator
May I suggest that we all turn the tables on those who have promoted this but of dishonesty by now constantly reminding them that the professional actuary group say the ONS data on Covid Deaths and preferably excess deaths is the best data.

Keep the thread. Quote it.

By that measure the DHSC have just increased the accuracy gap considerable.

Now a 50% undercount by the Government and DHSC.

Keep pointing it out folks!
So when the Henegen followers talk about the DHSC death data (prior to being altered to remove 5k deaths applying an arbitrary 28 day cut off period ) being discredited - point out that this arbitrary cut off point merely discredits it further.
Even by its own estimation it has removed about 2.5k cases that tested positive AND had Covid on their death certificate.

This blog was written in April.

Since then we now know of even longer stays than 10 weeks especially when ICU and hospital ward stays are added together.
