We start with demanding that Police officials treat public with the basic Respect & Dignity which is required.
We start with demanding that Police officials treat public with the basic Respect & Dignity which is required.
Please share a 2 minute video with us on how you were treated by the police when you went to them for help in a police station or outside. Several people have already shared their videos with us.
As a first step we are asking the Police officers to take the following oath:
1. Pledge that police officials will not address the public in Singular or indecent or unparliamentary words
2. Pledge that police officials will treat public with respect and dignity.
3. Pledge that police officials will not resort to physical torture of the accused or complainant
4. Pledge that police officials will follow the Constitution in letter and spirit.

@Arappor is sending a representation to the DGP of @PoliceTamilnadu to enable participation of the police in this pledge campaign. Kindly participate we need to work on this together to bring about a radical transformation in the system that have known. #GiveRespectTakeRespect
In the open poll that @Arappor had undertaken recently in Social Media it was reported that 85% people had problems dealing with the police. This is not about one Jayaraj & Bennix issue. There are 1000's more who are treated that way.
