The opening scene of this Columbo episode showed Patrick McGoohan's character committing murder, which makes me suspicious that he's the murderer.
Just imagine CNN as a movie reviewer.

"But the presence of Tracy's head in the box raises questions: did she survive the movie? Some say this is why Detective Mills killed John Doe, which experts suggest might have made him the embodiment of the sin of rage."
Sesame Street raises provocative possibility of 7 coming after 6.
My boarding pass, the electronic screens, and the gate marquee all claimed my boarding time was 11:45 but I missed my flight looking for someone willing to give me the opposing viewpoint, for balance.
CNN basically takes the maxim of "If your mother says she loves you, check it out." and turns it into, "If your mother says she loves you, shrug and report that 'important questions remain about my mother's love'."
I guess that's better than the NYT, where it's "If your mother says she loves you, find someone in a smalltown diner who will tell you that your mother thinks you suck snail slime through a rusty wind chime."
If we are more than two years out from New York Times, Newsweek, or CNN doing a "questions raised/remain" treatment of the literal actual flat earth, I will be very relieved.
