People know Trump is horrible. What some of you don’t seem to understand is that for millions, it was so bad before Trump that they’re willing to risk a repeat if it doesn’t mean 50 more years of the status quo enabled by lesser of two evilism.

Whether or not you agree, try to imagine if your family were stuck in its 20th generation in the bottom tranche of an exploitative racist economic system. Try to empathize with those who’ve lost loved ones bc liberals put corporate fundraising before free insulin.
Try to use all that wokesplaining you do about privilege that lets you feel like a “good liberal TM” to access one crumb of empathy for people who feel so low that they see this as a moment to draw a line in the sand and demand the Democrats better than “better than Trump.”
And instead of shaming people and comparing them to stupid shit eaters that aren’t civilized enough to know what’s good for them, consider that it’s the job of elected officials to EARN votes and make it obvious how they are going to help people thrive — not just survive.
