1. Be a people person

As a product manager, you can't work in isolation.

'Our understanding of the concepts can act as an enabler while interacting with the people who are the masters in their domain.'
1.1. To be a people person you should:
- Be Empathetic
- Be an Effective Communicator
- know how to manage conflicts
2. Embrace improvisation

'Improv comedy is about continuing a scene with the OKR set to laughing. The key to this continuum is effective listening, brainstorming and creativity.'

Like in improve you build on what your fellow improviser says, PMs build on ideas & feedbacks.
3. Cultivate personas
We know how Michael loves his characters.

He chooses them depending on the audience, occasion, & the message. The way PMs use personas in the product lifecycle.

'Personas are important for PMs as they help us define & prioritize the users of product.'
4. Become a note taker

Michael loves taking audio and video notes. He doesn't miss a chance to record his ideas.

'PMs need to be the best note-takers ever.'

'The best notes comprise of action items and are comprehensible irrespective of when they are read.'
5. Know thy product

Even though Michael's worldview is different. We have to admit that he knows his product- paper.

'Every PM should be well versed with their product.'

Know the market trends, customers, economics and what goes behind building the product.
And that's all from Micheal Scott today.
