My dear beloved Belarusians! We all and our country are going through a very difficult period in our history. When meanness borders on heroism, despair on courage, and love on betrayal. During this period we must make our choice. These times demand it from us.

These days, when we buried our heroes, I cry with you. This is an incredible loss for the country: innocent young people have been killed. We need to support their families. We are obliged to name the streets by their names in the future, their names will remain in our memory

I have no illusions about my political career, I did not want to be a politician, but fate decided that I was on the very first line of confrontation with arbitrariness and injustice. Fate and you, who believed in me, gave me strength.

And now, every minute, I admire your courage, your self-organization and the fact that you are all strong and bright.

You gave me your votes, and I really appreciate it. I understand absolutely exactly why you did it. We all want to get out of this endless circle in which we found ourselves 26 years ago.

I am ready to take responsibility and act as a national leader during this period. In order for the country to calm down, it entered a normal rhythm.

That we release all political prisoners and prepare as soon as possible the legal framework and conditions for the organization of new presidential elections. Real, fair and true elections that will definitely be accepted by the world community.

Over the past month, it has become absolutely clear to the whole world that Belarusians are people who know how to organize themselves, make the right decisions, are able to stand up for themselves and their loved ones.

But the most important thing is that we got self-awareness. We have lacked this awareness for many years, Belarusians today show miracles of heroism, solidarity, decency.

Time and time again we demonstrate to the world our devotion to the idea of ​​nonviolent resistance, and by this we prove that the truth is not on the side of strength and arms, the truth is on the side of strength of spirit, sincerity, decency and courage.

These signals will definitely be heard and we will get into our ranks supporters around the world to help us get through this difficult period. In particular, we will be able to return to the country the energy of those Belarusians who, by fate, found themselves in other countrs

They are the same as we are and they are doing their best to bring change into our lives as soon as possible. For the first time in many years we were able to become one: Belarusians who love their country.

Now we have no right to lose the positive energy, the positive changes in society, the determination we have gained and with which we can change our country. Transform it from a country ruled by corruption and violence to a country of prosperous, safe and happy life.

I understand that the most important thing is the independence of Belarus. It is a constant that cannot be lost under any circumstances.

My heart was filled with love and pride every time I learned that in many polling stations the commissions honestly counted the votes, ignoring the pressure from the authorities. And as law enforcement officers they put up shields at the feet of ordinary peaceful Belarusians.

It will go down in history as the deeds that became a sign of this time, the time of liberation.

I want to address people in uniform: Belarusians are people who do not accept violence. Belarusians are generous and fair, and if you decide not to obey criminal orders and take the side of the people, they will forgive you, support you, and in the future will not reproach you

I think you know and understand it all yourself. Because we are one whole that someone wants to break and clash. We are Belarusians, we have no right to raise our hand against each other. We must evaluate with a cool head what is happening, asking ourselves a simple question:

“Who benefits from our confrontation? Who benefits the most from this? ” We are one, and you should know that we will always accept you if your intentions are pure and your repentance is sincere.

Today, strength and patience are more important to us than ever. We exprss solidarity with those who defend their rights in all peaceful ways. Including peaceful rallies and strikes

And the whole world looks at us with admiration and hope and is ready to help both the country as a whole and everyone. Our strength is in faith in ourselves and each other.
