One of the biggest success stories of the Indian Education System - the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas.

The idea of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas was conceived by former Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi as part of National Policy of Education 1986.
The concept of opening a JNV in every district of India with an aim of providing excellence coupled with social justice.

As per the policy of the government, one JNV was to be established in each district of the country. There are nearly 600 operational JNVs.
JNV is a unique experiment unparalleled in the annals of school education in India and elsewhere.

Its significance lies in the selection of talented rural children and to provide them with quality FREE education comparable to the best in a coed residential school system.
JNVs are fully residential and co-educational schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, with classes from VI to XII standard.

NEP is discussing 3 language formula in 2020.

JNV practices it since 1986!
JNVs have consistently produced the best results in CBSE board examinations over the years. Ranging between 96%and 99%.

In 2016 of the 315 JNV students who appeared for JEE (advanced), 233 qualified for IIT!

He said something to Ministers of West Bengal, who came to meet him, which is so relevant even today....

Preparations for UP elections has begun.

Election Commissioner Ashok Lavasa, who was to become the Chief Election Commissioner next year, a year before UP elections, is all set to join Asian Development Bank as Vice President.

His early exit, after the retirement of CEC Sunil Arora next year would give Sushil Chandra a shot at the top post.

Appointment to Manila based ADB happens with recommendation/approval of the Central Govt even if Lavasa had applied for it.
Why Lavasa?

Lavasa was the sole dissenter in the three member commission when the poll body took a call on whether or not to give a clean chit to Modi and Shah for speeches that allegedly violated the model code of conduct ahead of Lok Sabha elections in 2019.
