Since its inception in 2016, @geep_ng, one of the 4 @NSIP_NG schemes overseen by @FMHDSD, has empowered over 2.3 million micro-enterprises with interest-free loans to grow their businesses, making it the largest public microcredit program in the world. #service2humanity
.@geep_ng was established to address the challenges of credit and financial inclusion for the millions of Nigerians at the base of the economic pyramid, who are involved in active commercial activity, but have never had the opportunity to access loans. #service2humanity
GEEP provides incremental loans of between N10,000 and N300,000 to traders, artisans, enterprising youth, agricultural workers and other micro-service providers; under its flagship programs TraderMoni, MarketMoni and FarmerMoni. #service2humanity
.@geep_ng is executed by @BOINigeria under the direction of @FMHDSD. It leverages extensively on data, technology, mobile phones and a network of 4,325 agents deployed in all the 36 states and the FCT.
.@NHGSFP was introduced in 2016 to provide one free nutritious meal daily to children in primary 1-3 across public schools. It is a joint Federal—State Program, @NigeriaGov provides funding, coordination & oversight, and the State carries out the implementation & data generation.
School feeding programmes are part of social safety nets deployed to address both malnutrition and poverty amongst low income/poor families. The program was conceived as a multi-sectoral intervention with gains expected and seen in educational, health and socioeconomic outcomes.
Thus far, @NHGSFP has been implemented in 34 States & the FCT

Total number of children enrolled: 9,196,823

Total Number of Cooks: 103,028

The Covid-19 lockdown and schools closure disrupted the conventional feeding cycle and has necessitated a modification in implementation.
