#NPFL Gist:

I had a conversation with @biolakazeem yesterday after my Tweet about Theofilus Afelokhai.

I have also seen a lot of people doubting my information.

I'm 10 years into covering the NPFL, so when I talk, I don't just talk for clout, I speak as an insider.

I will say this again, Afelokhai is currently earning N800,000 monthly at Enyimba & he has requested for N1 million on his new contract with Rivers Utd offering N1.2 million monthly.

Let me also state here that Enyimba & Rivers Utd are part of the clubs that pay regularly.

All clubs in the NPFL don't owe their players, the welfare of players in terms of salaries has improved in the last 5 years. Just like you have it in Europe, a lot of clubs in Europe owe their player's salaries.

So paying of salaries might not be perfect in the NPFL

If you play for Rangers, Kano Pillars, Akwa Utd, Enyimba, Kwara Utd, Lobi Stars, Plateau Utd, Abia Warriors just to mention few, players at these clubs cash home millions of Naira every year.

In every country, there are top clubs and there are clubs who are below top level.

For a fact, clubs like Sunshine, Heartland, Warri Wolves are currently having financial challenges and players are advised not to join these clubs. Like I said earlier, even in Europe clubs do owe their players. That doesn't mean all clubs in the NPFL don't pay their players.

On NPFL Transfers:

A few months ago, I tweeted that about N100m moves around in the NPFL transfer windows.

Unfortunately, our society isn't ripe enough to have this information in the public.

It's painful that the clubs & players are also not ready to make this league a brand.

I am privilege to information about NPFL transfers with all the details, this kind of information will change the perspective of the League. Attract the fans to the players and clubs, I hope one day we'll get to this level. But trust me, there are good money in the NPFL.

Let me share this, I have been involved in two transfers so far;

- Player A, will earn N350,000 after tax. N2.5m was paid for his transfer fees & he signed a 2-year deal. The transfer fees will be paid twice with the advance payment already paid.

At least I was part of this.

The second transfer I completed yesterday night;

- Player B, will earn N650,000 monthly with tax inclusive.

- Transfer fees was N2.5 million to be paid fully.

- The deal was for 2 years.

I hope one day, we'll be able to share this information to the public without fear.
