2. A cruciferous conception of the breast ductal/lobular system:

Each large branch (colored lines), along with its ramifications, defines a breast lobe. Conceptually important, but not easily identifiable anatomically.

3. Cut surface:

4. Terminal ductular lobular unit: the end part of the broccoli. Picture the lobule as the little green nub at the very end.

5. TDLU: where most neoplasia happens. Note that the broccoli doesn’t have an equivalent for the acinus... but looks cool under a microscope.
