When I say we need less freedom in The West, this is why.

"Please, #Ideology, tell me how to be a good #NPC zombie to do your bidding, I'll even pay you $5 per month for the privilege"

Most people don't have ideas, they get had by ideas.
The relationship between humans and religion is like the relationship between termites and their nest or beavers and beaver dams. Humans need the right memes to survive, and if the infosphere and institutions get polluted with the wrong memes then the humans will suffer.
Western people essentially cannot survive without the Christianity/nationalism/ethnocentrism/patriarchy memeplex.
Now that that memeplex has lost most of its power, we are seeing

-- pseudo-religion/cults taking over because of a lack of real religion
-- mass immigration replaces Western people (genes)
-- lack of patriarchy makes family formation difficult and sends fertility down
Western people are going extinct because the wrong memes have been installed.

But not just the people. There has always been a sideline of dialogue that says that what really matters about The West is our traditions and culture. Tolerance, reason, innovation etc.
But those traditions themselves are on the chopping block too! The aggressive BLM/Postmodernism memeplex is *not* tolerant or reasonable. It's openly racist and irrational.
It's also fundamentally opposed to science and reason and capitalism; it's barbaric primitive tribalism camouflaged with a layer of postmodern nonsense to evade our memetic immune system.

That's why the people who are infected with it are burning everything down.
You can see how virulently tribal the BLM memeplex is in the "Bubble tea is cultural appropriation incident":

The point is not to pick on one unusually nutty BLMer, it's that the entire concept of "cultural appropriation" has no purpose other than to act as an absurd casus belli for a constant low-level race war.

Is this what the future of tolerance looks like? No, of course not.
A very insightful comment I saw from @LinchZhang is "Consequentialism is hard".

Giving power to people who preach multiculturalism and anti-racism can actually cause ... more (and worse) racism.
Note that I don't think this means we have to be mean to black (or Asian, or South Asian) people just because "consequentialism is hard".

But I do think it means we have to be mean to anti-civilization memes. And we have to compromise on freedom for ordinary people.
And yeah, anyone who pays a cult $5 per month to tell them what to think has too much freedom and needs to be guided towards functional belief systems. This woman is desperately crying out for help from the church.
