(Somebody should do a rolling fund for this.)
I think you could have as a thesis “Any B2B SaaS business which makes $1M can make $10M but a lot of them hit founder’s skill cap or motivation caps.

We hire the people that business can’t; we scale it to $10M+; we then sell to The Deep Pockets. And we do this in parallel.”
And I think you could get a check for that thesis from basically anyone who has ever done marketing, sales, or engineering at a SaaS company for 3+ years.
Thesis is kind of a term of art (and sort of highfalutin’ to impress people in a particular social milieu) when used in investing, but a lot of really good investments start with one or a small cluster of Big Ideas that one thinks the world underappreciates.
Two things I believe:

Nobody understands how powerful software is, including people who have “Software is eating the world” etched onto their MBP. I am an element in the set of everybody in this regard.

There is class of B2B SaaS company which is extremely overlooked by capital
“How important is software?”

Ignoring for a moment that AI is a subset of software, there should be a similar level of fascination / popular imagination capturing / etc for “boring, basic” software as there is for AI.

If there isn’t Harry Potter fanfic, we aren’t there yet.
(I will hopefully succeed in surprising the urge to write Harry Potter and the B2B SaaS Company but come on the Sorting Hat scene writes itself.)

“You’re in Engineering Hermione!”
“But all my friends are in PM!”
“Do you really look forward to spending the next six years explaining to Rob Weasley why he has scheduled a sprint to disprove the CAP theorem?”
“...”
“Alright fine; PM. On your head be it.”
