Bad day for those hoping to tune in to sports to get away from politics.
There's courage, and then there's waiting a few days to play a game. #activism
"Can we just go back to kneeling during the anthem?"
- Sports fans.
This stunt highlights one of the key difference between left and right. When the left is enamored with symbolic activism and the right is asking how this is brave when they're not sacrificing anything.
The left praises empty slacktivism because they want to be praised when they do empty slacktivism.
Refusing to play until a Qualified Immunity bill is passed? Now that would be brave.

I disagree with KDW on this. Mar-a-lago isn't just any house in Florida. It's the home of the President's possible challenger. When that happens extra care has to be taken to ensure there are very good and justifiable reasons to search his property.
No one is arguing that Trump should be above the law. But an operation like this is hard to justify over some papers that there's some argument he can keep.
To be clear, I'm not saying there is something nefarious going on (that I know of at least). But these norms exist to ensure that a corrupt administration in the future isn't tempted to go after its political opponents this way.
A lower-level prosecutor just YOLO'd the search of the President's opposition's home without clearing it at the highest levels? No one at the FBI asked if the AG had signed off on this?
If the search of Trump's home is the righteous execution of justice, why is no one taking credit for it?
Does Garland think DOJ underlings should undertake searches of the homes of the President's opponents without AG approval? That would be an interesting question.
The FBI raiding the home of the President's presumed opposing candidate has such wide-ranging political implications it's hard to believe it was done without the President or AG's knowledge.
Who in the DOJ would take such a step without clearing it with the highest levels?
If they did that on their own how could they not be fired?
The entire Democrat front on this is going to be "the law" like the former President and potential challenger is just some random citizen that the party in power has no benefit in seeing brought down by criminal investigations.
I'm waiting to hear what the raid was about to think more seriously about it. I do hope this isn't about some classified papers.
If Trump got raided for doing with physical papers what Hillary did with emails then.. I don't know what's going to happen.
I would love nothing more than for an excuse to prevent Trump from running again. But this is a Rubicon Garland better be prepared to fully justify crossing.
