"Wage Rudolf Supratman", was an Indonesian songwriter, who wrote both the lyrics & melody of the national anthem of Indonesia and introduced it in the year 1928 at the "Second Indonesian Youth Congress".
The song was quickly adopted by the Indonesian National Party

Several Indonesian cities and towns, have named streets and even stadiums after him.

W R Supratman Died young at age of 35 in 1938, even before he could taste independence.
