Here we go with Trump’s acceptance speech. As per usual, he starts with his robotic teleprompter voice.
Sorry but Trump haltingly reading the sentence for his brother off the teleprompter is hella-weird and kinda contradicts the claims about his abundance of empathy.
Trump stumbles a bit on the word “uncharted.”
As his teleprompter speeches go, Trump’s delivery is above average tonight.
Why are the audience cheering Trump saying this is the most important election in American history?
I, for one, am voting against the radical movement threatening to destroy America, which is why I’m voting for Biden/Harris.
Trump asks “How can Democratic party lead our country when they spend so much time tearing down our country?” I think the answer is that Democrats are not tearing down the country — they’re tearing down the Trump administration’s performance.
Trump is now bullshitting about NATO contributions, eliding the fact that defense spending started to increase from 2014.
Trump says he has put America first, which would be great if it wasn’t for the fact that the United States now has fewer jobs, a smaller economy, more social strife and greater mortality rates than when he was elected.
Trump praises the “brand-new” USMCA which is 95 percent similar to NAFTA.
Trump repeats the claim that he’s been the greatest president for African-Americans since Lincoln.
Trump has a crowd but their chants sound very tinny on the television.

I confess I did not think I would live to see Republicans booing the WTO en masse.
It’s difficult to explain the towering levels of bullshit contained in Trump’s speech with words. In .gif form....
Are.. are they actually applauding the job the administration has done during the pandemic?!
And Trump mispronounces “plasma” again.
“We have pioneered the fatality rate”?
Trump bragging about his travel ban. I doubt he’ll mention that Americans are effectively banned from traveling to most of the rest of the world at this point.
Trump just straight-up lying about Biden’s agenda now. Thinking of switching to “Teenage Bounty Hunters.”
Maybe this attack on Biden will work, but maybe it will alienate those who like Biden and are put off by Trump’s nastiness. But who knows.
This speech has curdled, as all of Trump’s rhetoric, into something targeted only at his base.
That’s it, I’m out, the “unleashing the police” rhetoric is a bridge too far for me. Damn this man. Damn what he’s done to this country.
