With the final speeches of the #RNC2020 underway, this Tweet may not get much attention, but I will write it anyway.

I am a proud American, a proud father, a proud husband, a proud brother and a proud son.

I worked for my father from the late 1980s when I was in high school,
until we sold our business 6 years ago.

Shortly after my wife and I were married in 2007, we bought the house across the street from my parents.

Since the birth of our children, now 8 and 11, we have spent countless afternoons and evenings with my parents.
Over the past two years, my father’s health has been failing. It has been difficult for me and my family to watch.

My father sleeps very little, struggles to breath and has developed disorders related to both that challenge our family daily.

Prior to the 2016 election,
I donated to the campaign of @realDonaldTrump and bought bumper stickers, hats and yard signs, for my house, my brother’s house (who also worked with us and lives one mile away) and my parents’ house.

My father LOVES his #RedHat!

Election night 2016 was special.
At 4am, my wife came out of the bedroom to find me on the couch, tearing up, smiling ear to ear, knowing #DonaldTrump had just been elected President of the United States. I do not show my emotions often.

Tonight, my emotions are pouring out as I sit by myself yet again.
Hearing all the wonderful stories of Hope, all the stories of Dreams come True, all the adoration for our President, I am realizing that although our circumstances are challenging, everything in the end will be OK.

I am tearing up as a I type, partly worried about my father,
but also in the joy I feel, knowing @POTUS @realDonaldTrump is still the best man for the job.

My father’s mind is not alright this evening, and my brother is staying with my parents to lend a hand.

I only wish my father could watch the #RNCConvention right now. He’d be proud.
In conclusion, America is great! This land and nation provides the opportunity. Our work and commitment bring the fruits.

Thank you @POTUS @realDonaldTrump for doing what you do. And thank you to your wonderful family. Your sacrifices don’t go unnoticed.
Although our family is going through a difficult time, we are proud Americans and are confident in our fellow citizens. We are the lucky ones and we are grateful.

Hold your loved ones close and take nothing for granted.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you for reading.
