Auspicious morning of Vamana Dwadasi. ☺️🙏

This beautiful miniature of the birth of lord Vamana from the Mewar collection of Shrimad Bhagwatam.

I have been asked by many as to why there are no temples to Lord Vamana, among all the Avatarams of Lord Vishnu.

Absolutely wrong! There were beautiful temples and they were destroyed by you-know-who! Check this exclusive temple to Lord Vamana in Khajuraho. 🙏☺️

The Moola Murti is exquisite! It was a Chaturbhuja Vamana Murti. Larger than life size!

Just imagine how glorious it would have been before it was plundered!?

Some of my favourite ancient sculptures of Lord Vamana and Lord Vishnu as Trivikrama. Will begin with the caves of Badami in Karnataka.

You can see how the little Vamana Murti has been completely destroyed. But imagine what it would be in its peak! 🙏☺️

We all know of the beautiful Ulagalanda Perumal Kovil in Kanchipuram. I don't have to go into that. But Kanchi has other sculptures too!

Here is another Trivikrama from the Vaikuntha Perumal temple. Much eroded but still beautiful! ☺️🙏

Ok, so now which idiots said King Mahabali was some Dravidian something?! From all sources, we know he was of Kashyapa Gotra and ruled Moolasthana, once called Prahladapuri. It is located in Pakistan now. 🤷🏻‍♂️

And we know what Kashyapa Puri is.
