Between May and August, a hedge fund (Electron Capital Partners) managed by Mitch McConnell’s brother in law, James O. “Jos” Shaver purchased $26,841,000 worth of (USPS contractor) XPO Logistics stock—the fund’s first puchase in its six-year history.
Last year, American Oversight filed a lawsuit to obtain communications between Mitch McConnell’s wife, Secretary Elaine Chao, and Senate Leadership Fund’s leadership. Deputy Attorney General Rosen, Chao’s deputy at the time, was also named in the suit.

Anyway, I guess we’ll never know why Mitch McConnell won’t bring the House USPS bill to the Senate floor.
The hedge fund manager’s wife—Secretary Chao’s sister, Christine—maxed out her contributions to Mitch McConnell’s authorized campaign committee for the current cycle, as did two of her children.
