The indie left media is by & large not questioning these things and are supporting calls for stricter rules. It has disappointed me.
And no I don't watch infowars or anything like it.
You ask cui bono. There is a supranational agenda, (2/19)

whether lunatics say there is or not, one that has had the effect of decimating small independent businesses and making hay for the mega corps, who have been able to accommodate social distancing, online shopping etc. The gov provided insulting 'aid' to small businesses, (3/19)

forcing many to go bust. The larger companies were given tax breaks in the form of vouchers to be used at your favourite chain restaurants. Amazon hired thousands to deal the massive rise in home shopping. The transfer of power and wealth to tax dodging, rights abusing, (4/19)

market monopolising entities continues apace thanks to corona.

We bought a padlock for the shed cos we thought there might be mass looting. But then time happened, and this virus revealed itself to be rather similar to all the other recent novel viruses, none of which had a 2nd wave of deaths. (6/19)

So all I'm saying is that ongoing policy should be predicated on current stats, not the overblown predictions we were given in March. And that makes me a loonie? Bit of a stretch. (7/19)

As for an explanation of why gov officials would mess up then apologise instead of covering up.. it is consistent with the view that those mess ups were intentional. They gave the illusion of incompetence, which spurred the public to support stricter rules.. (8/19)

a late lock down and spiralling deaths meant people supported strict rules. A refusal to initially support masks got people thinking masks must be absolutely necessary, even now, 5 months after the peak and with the death rate flatlined. (9/19)

The aim of the mess is to create a context for a new level of control that they feel is necessary given the collapse of capitalism and the various brick walls fast approaching us, in terms of resources, water, climate change etc. (10/19)

There is no reason to maintain these laws past their efficacy, the virus is swiftly dissipating, so why continue these unprecedented rules? Not for our health, which they never cared about before.
For more specificity, we'd do well to focus on one aspect at a time. (11/19)

The care home massacre =
* The Gov sent infected patients into care homes (counter to normal practice)
* Refused hospital treatment to care home residents
* Installed a blanket DNAR
* Abolished the 'unexpected death' system when covid was cited as a contributor. (12/19)

This meant police were no longer called in the event of an expected death.
* The Corona Bill removed checks on dead bodies. Typically 2 medical professionals would have to sign off on a death certificate, now only 1 and it can be done by lower qualified persons. (13/19)

This was sold as a burden lifting move, but also risked human error and lack of oversight in checking causes of death.
* Health services were incentivised to log CV as a contributory factor as they were reimbursed for PPE & staffing. (14/19)

With the reduction in oversight enabled by the Corona Bill, many people had CV logged on their death cert despite not being tested and in some cases after having tested negative. I know of at least 1 case of this from the ward I work on. A 91yr old patient, (15/19)

tested negative, no symptoms, had a heart attack, 'covid criteria' logged on the death cert.
All of this had the effect of obfuscating the cause of death for many thousands of elderly people with comorbidities. If you wanted to learn more about a new virus, (16/19)

then all of these moves were precisely the opposite of what should have been done. Taken together, its clear the intent was to obfuscate. So that the death rate would be high and they could paint CV19 as much more deadly than it actually was. (17/19)

So people obsessed over the 'excess deaths' for March & April, when all these vulnerable people were exposed to a respiratory disease. The deaths for later months were lower than average, but that's not discussed because it proves the effect of the care home massacre. (18/19)

The extra deaths caused by lock down, isolation, missed treatments and undiagnosed problems aren't discussed either because they're clearly a lower class of death.
