Commemorating a relation b/w Student & teacher in today's #TeachersDay..
In this picture Dr. Abdus Salam, renowned Pakistani Nobel Laureate came to meet his Bengali professor Anilendra Ganguly, who had taught him mathematics in the pre-partition era at the S.D College,Lahore.
Dr.Salam had credited Ganguly for instilling the interest towards mathematics in him, which, he believed, led him to become a scientist.“The teacher was feeble and unable to sit up and greet him when Dr Salam visited him at his residence in Kolkata on 19th January,1981.
Dr Salam took his medal &said that ‘Sir,this medal is a result of your teaching & love of mathematics that you instilled in me,’ & he put the medal around his teachers’ neck,” writes Zia H Shah MD, a New York-based physician and Chief Editor of the Muslim Times, in this article.
@PMOIndia
How can you be so much flippant & Uncompassionate for these poor compatriots?
I've been writing this persistently from last 1 month & lakhs of sane minds have been striving to make u, guys realized the situation on ground.
But now it's being appeared enervated....(1/5)
@PMOIndia
....for me to handle it.
Now, my only concern is that sometimes such kind of insensitivity to this unbridled violence on their own people, turn them cynical to the law & order of state. It may be detrimental after having a certain limits of aggravation.(2/5)
@PMOIndia
After having a sound knowledge of constitution & legal restrictions of center in such cases,if citizens like us are not finding ray of hope from the system, the laymen, have to face the violence & lawlessness, it'd tend them to be distrustful of your legal system.(3/5)
That's the validation of hypocrisy of West @majorgauravarya Sir.. It's not a matter to take it as elation. We've been discussing it from several years & you also have mentioned in several shows on the severe atrocities on #Uighurs.
But, as now US needed to encircle China....(1/3)
@majorgauravarya Sir,
....., they're trying to take each & every opportunity to portray China as #devil.Such kind of hypocrites can't be trusted.
I don't have any intent to play #devil's advocate but my point is that at least US can't claim to have a voice for humanity....(2/3)
@majorgauravarya Sir,
...or religious minority as they always turn deaf ear whenever in reality the global community wants their intervention as a superpower. Their only exclamation for human rights starts when they find it convenient for their political & economic interest.(3/3)
Probably it would be sound exaggerated now but I've found a huge potentiality in this man, crown prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, colloquially known as #MBS to revive the essence of his religion.(1/5)
This guy doesn't come to rule like a unknown monarch.If I say that he has the prospects to be the ' #KemalAtaturk of Saudi' , would it be an inflated claim ???..(2/5)
How this man has been striving hard to exonerate the clan from regressive socio-religious customs from last few years, that's really not a cakewalk for him. Here, few of the changes which were brought in SA after the elevation of MBS in the political coterie of #AlSaud.👇👇(3/5)
I understand the mode of ur concern but, I can tell u 'India is a secular democracy'- this statement can be challenged & categorically questioned under not only constitutional ambiguity but also the implementation of several policies of our country .(1/13)
Though it's need a big-time discussion to divulge the obscurity, here I'm only fetching some points to shed light on the issue.
Dictionary defines secularism as "the belief that religion should not play a role in government, education, or other public parts of society". (2/13)
It suggests-"separation of religion and state".By this,I'd submit that the India is not a secular country. I further assert that the policies of the Indian state are nor just unsecular but smack of blatant religious reverse-discrimination against its majority community.(3/13)
Plez, @azharaslam sir I think you need to brush up ur historical facts as it's showing dingy now. Let me enlighten some of your dimness with my sober capacity as a staunch learner of history.🙏🙏
1.Sir,first of all Chhatrapati Maharaja Shivaji is not only the rulers of Hindus rather he formed the genesis of the Maratha Empire. In 1674. He was the 'Chhatrapati' ( emperor) of his realm like what Alamgir was for Mughals.
So, as an emperor he's the leader of all people who settled in his kingdom irrespective of any caste-creed-religion. 2. Chhatrapati was not adhered with any communal atrocity like what Alamgir did with Hindus. Even staunch critics of Maharaj couldn't point a single incident.
