Part II. Always wanted to cycle around Hamilton. Finally did. First time really appreciating its size. All these great neighbourhoods/houses/apartment bldns and old high streets. Then the endless beach. 🚴🏼♂️
I thought we could circle all of Cootes but the road/trails were better this way. Everything is big, at any rate. Always wanted to see the high level bridge and Desjardins Canal up close. Beauty of a bridge. 59 killed here in 1857 train derailment/bridge collapse.
The Red Hill bike bridge is such a nicely done connection. Been >>>>driving by these places at speed for years. So nice to see them closer & slower. Really appreciated how much wetland there is in Hamilton - even here, a few 100 m from the start of the steel mills.
