Her team of attys were Charles Hamilton Houston - this was his last case; Thurgood Marshall; & Donald Murray who had been the plaintiff in Houston & Thurgood Marshall’s successful case challenging segregation at the law school in 1935. Murray was now NAACP counsel in #Baltimore.
Marshall & Houston had to sue multiple schools in the @UofMaryland system to admit Black students. They won Murray’s admission to the law school in 1935. It was Marshall’s first successful civil rights case. 15 years later they all fought to get #EstherMcCready into UMD Nursing
