What's stretch marks to you?
Does it look sexy or it's irritating?

Well, to most people it's fascinating and to others it's a plague that needs to be taken away asap. See what causes it and the best remedy. #skinherball

Please RT if this crosses your TL
Well, according to dermatologists, stretch marks are lines(thin/fat) on your skin that shows up on your breasts, stomach, hips, shoulders, butt, thighs, etc. They actually don't have any effect on your health.

And even though they'll never really go away, they might fade off
Over time with the help of some certain procedures and products.

Stretch marks occurs when your body grows rapidly, and your skin can't keep up with the stretch. Collagen is a protein that makes your skin more elastic, and if it's lacking or in low quantities in your skin,
The marks will show up as it stretches.

Causes come from:
- quick weight gain (affects both men and women)
- childhood growth during puberty.
- pregnancy.
- breast implant surgery.
- body building.
- Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a group of conditions that result from
genetic changes to collagen, a protein in your body
They also run in families.

It isn't really difficult to diagnose.

Medical treatments should be carried out by a dermatologist/physician, and they include:

- Pulsed dye laser therapy.
- microdermabrasion.
- cosmetic surgery.
- Radio frequency.
- Ultrasound.

If you prefer to go under the medical treatments, see your doctor to discuss various types of treatments and what would work best for you.
Home natural remedies include creams, oils, and other skin ointments that claim to either prevent or treat them. But there’s little proof that any of these products really work.

Some treatments and home remedies can fade or hide stretch marks, so let's see them:
Tretinoin: tretinoin creams contain retinoids, a compound related to vitamin A and they help increase collagen production. They may help fade newer stretch marks, but they can also make your skin red, irritated, or scaly.
Bitter almond oil: One study showed that women who massaged bitter almond oil into the skin on their bellies during pregnancy had fewer stretch marks than others who didn't.

Cocoa butter, shea butter, olive oil, vitamin E oil, and other moisturizers: These natural creams
can make your skin feel softer, but it isn’t clear if they help or prevent stretch marks.

Well, if you try to use a cream or oil, ensure to do so every day for several weeks. Massage them into your skin. These products may work best on new marks.
It’s possible to prevent stretch marks, but there’s no guarantee. The best way to lower your chances is to stay at a healthy weight, even during pregnancy. Talk to your doctor about an exercise plan and how to eat well.

Products with the ingredients centella and hyaluronic acid
May work to prevent stretch marks too. Eat heathy and avoid over gaining of weight. They aren't really too bad. Be proud of your skin.

This is an honest review from a professional standpoint but tell me, have you used any oil or cream that promised to clear stretch marks and they worked?
