that will make you a stronger, happier, and more fulfilled person.

Even your own biology is fighting against you on this.
And you always wonder why:
Everything that feels good is bad for you.
And everything that's good for you feels horrible.
Who the hell actually wants to do that?
When it feels so much better to sleep in under your warm blanket.
You are biologically designed to avoid pain and seek pleasure.
This means your body will naturally gravitate towards things that feel good and avoid what doesn't.
Because back in the good old days, it was needed for survival.
Pleasure meant seeking shelter from harsh weather conditions, hunting for food, and finding someone to mate with.
Avoiding pains like hunger, extreme weather, injury, and death.
Modern day pleasures are killing us physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Billion-dollar industries capitalize on this and profit from keeping people addicted to these pleasures.
Everyone is overweight, highly addicted to any and all entertainment (Netflix, Junk food, porn, video games,etc..)
Always seeking pleasure and comfort.
It's in our biology to act this way.
And society is feeding it to us on a silver platter.
Because the people in charge are making tons and tons of money.
They figured this all out and sell us the brain chemicals to keep us hooked and paying for more.
@naval summed this up perfectly in one sentence.
Discomfort.
Breaking addictions.
Not being lazy.
Don't fall into the traps of cheap pleasures.
Do the things you know are good for you but don't want to do.
You are literally fighting against your own innate biology.
But the more you do it, the easier it will get.
The stronger you will become.
The unfortunate reality is we need to:
Seek pain, and avoid pleasure.
(Obviously to a certain extent)
-Train Physically
-Meditate
-It's ok to be a little hot or a little cold sometimes.
-Don't BINGE entertainment.
-Step out of your comfort zone often.
-Admit and realize your addictions so you can start breaking them.
