I didn't have the word for nonbinary back then, but I always, ALWAYS knew I wasn't happy being a girl. There was always a huge fascination with people like Mana, for example, who played fluidly with gender presentation
I knew I wanted more than I had. I knew I resented some of my features and I wanted change. There's a reason I was FASCINATED with female hyenas as much as I was.
And there was always a deep interest in gynandromorphs and hermaphroditic animals... And it turns out hoping to discover you were actually intersex was uhhh not a Very Cis Thing!
