It was a perfect day in Denver yesterday. Now it’s snowing. #cowx
Yesterday people were out on Sloan’s Lake fishing and kayaking. Now a snowy mist hangs around the lake. #cowx
The massive swing in temperature is not gonna be good for these flowers 😔💐
It’s really starting to come down in west Denver! Big fat flakes. #cowx @KDVR

THREAD: Recently got these numbers from our #ProblemSolvers CORA request.

Since 2018, @DenverPolice has spent roughly $584,000 on less-than-lethal munitions. In 2020, the department spent more than 2X on these items than the previous two years combined. @KDVR Image
2/ According to Denver administrators, @DenverPolice doesn't budget for these items. DPD purchases them as needed, and the cost is absorbed in the budget as an expense. @KDVR
3/ As much as these expenses look large, as I previously reported, @DenverPolice spent more than $2.6 million in overtime covering the first few weeks of unrest through the #GeorgeFloyd protests downtown. @KDVR
