Real talk: We have two crises we are facing today in Butte County. We have an active fire bearing down on our communities, and we are experiencing the ongoing, long-term effects of what we went through during the Camp Fire. (1/5)
Today is not a day to hide your fears and anxieties that may be reactivated due to the smoke and ash in the sky. Today is a day to reach out for support and share that experience, whether to a loved one or to a support hotline. (2/5)
You can call the Disaster Distress Helpline at 1-800-985-5990 for confidential support in dealing with this moment (3/5)
Today is a day to reach out to those we know who are likely to be affected mentally and emotionally by what’s happening in our part of the world, so that we all know we‘re not alone. And for those of you who need to hear it now: You are not alone. (4/5)
The pain of these crises is deeply felt, and it is a completely reasonable reaction to what our communities are experiencing right now. Take care of yourselves, take care of each other, and we will get through this together. (5/5)

We’re now officially two months away from Election Day. That’s 8 weeks, 56 days or 1,344 hours. No matter how you slice it, we are rapidly approaching a crossroads for the North State. (1/6)
We started this movement nearly 3 years ago because we wanted to create a better future for our communities. We have kept this fight going because we want the leaders who represent us to reflect our North State values and vision, and to keep our interests at the forefront. (2/6)
Our fight for effective leadership has grown exponentially, and I could not be more proud of what we have accomplished and created together.

Your passion, your grit, and your resolve empower me every single day to be the advocate you deserve in Congress. (3/6)

Today is #WomensEqualityDay. Today, I am celebrating the powerful and resilient who have fought and continue fighting for change. But friends, we are far past the point of platitudes. (1/7)
What’s disappointing to so many of us women who are fighting for change is that our Congressman doesn’t even pretend to care about the things that matter to us. (2/7)
He tells us with his words and his votes just how little he values women’s rights and the justice and equity issues impacting women in his district. (3/7)

Let’s talk about integrity, friends.

I was taught that to be a person of integrity, you have to be a person who pursues truth and authenticity even with the small things -- and especially when no one is watching. (1/6)
I am disappointed that Congressman LaMalfa has failed to have the integrity of honoring the local laws of our cities and counties in the placement of his campaign signs. (2/6)
We are being flooded with complaints from people in our communities who are finding LaMalfa signs illegally placed on private property or on signs, poles, and posts on public property. (3/6)

The wildfires raging throughout our district continue to affect our communities and public lands, and the North Complex fires are burning near Quincy and Susanville as the result of lightning in our North State. (1/5)
All of the information regarding these fires, including evacuation information and locations, as well as the most recent updates from those managing these incidents, can be found here: inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/6997. (2/5)
Fire season is a heart wrenching time for so many of us, and this is one of the worst seasons we’ve seen in our region. To all who are struggling right now, you are not alone. (3/5)

With so many fires burning across the North State, we all need to stay vigilant, support our neighbors, and make sure we are tuned into information about evacuations. Below is a list of resources where you can access updates and information about a few of our local fires. (1/4)
This list is not inclusive of every fire being fought right now. Please share additional information & resources below. Let’s take good care of each other. Thanks to our first responders, who are fighting these fires during one of the harshest heat waves in years. (2/4)

Today, Rep. LaMalfa released a statement about two bills he has introduced in the House of Representatives that are a direct attack on the transgender community, and particularly transgender children. (1/15)
There are almost no words to describe the anger and disgust I am feeling. But I will harness those emotions into actions to defend the transgender kids who need and deserve access to affirming environments, adults, and services. (2/15)
I will fight for the entire LGBT*Q+ community whose rights and protections have been systematically attacked by this administration and elected officials like Rep. LaMalfa. (3/15)
