If you are mad at Killer Mike for meeting with the GOP governor of Georgia, wait until you find out what Stacey Abrams did with the GOP governor of Georgia. theintercept.com/2017/05/29/the…
Killer Mike meets with all kinds of people (Dem and Republican) to offer input. Stacey Abrams works with the GOP to gut free college, reduce voting rights, and deregulate banking accountability laws. On Twitter, style tends to win out over substance. theintercept.com/2018/03/23/geo…
When I lived in Georgia I'd also meet with right-wing lawmakers -- to try and push them in a more progressive direction. Sometimes it works (criminal justice reform in Georgia was aggressively pushed by Nathan Deal). But just having meetings? Everyone does that.
Literally every Dem lawmaker in Georgia has probably met with either Brian Kemp or Nathan Deal at some point to advocate for their agenda. That's just politics. If Killer Mike was meeting with Kemp to advocate for gutting free college or shielding big banks, that'd be different.
Tyler Perry is also working with Brian Kemp...on human trafficking reforms. You work with the governor of your state, what's the alternative, jousting for Twitter points? gov.georgia.gov/press-releases…

In order to defend this thesis, Kendi cites Derek Chauvin and Kyle Rittenhouse, both of whom were charged with murder? $10 million please.
I also think if you have Kendi's philosophy and you can justify any sweeping statement just by a statistical stereotype, you can't honestly include men in this thesis. Men have it worse than women in the CJ system at every level. It's not a privilege to be a man in prison.
It doesn't mean you just get away with crimes if you're white as Kendi suggests, but there is generally a little bit of a bias towards white folks in many aspects of criminal justice. However, there is also a lot of bias against men. law.umich.edu/newsandinfo/fe…

If this was a thing at UGA when I was there I think it wouldn't last more than a week, left, right, white, and black would find it so absurd. But now the limits of absurd have been pushed way out there.

Bill Clinton on what would happen when the U.S. granted China normal trade relations. "It will strengthen those within China who fight for higher labor standards, a cleaner environment, human rights, and the rule of law."
Now that this has pretty clearly been shown to be false (HK's limited autonomy is being eliminated, China is involved in the worst ethnic cleansing of the 21st century), can we update the policy?
Another person who was very wrong was Joe Biden. How does Biden reflect on his words and does he have any alternative for the future? congress.gov/crec/2000/09/1…

It's hard to describe to people who weren't politically aware during the Bush years and some of the Obama years -- there was a very strong war fever then that doesn't exist at all now.
Trump and Biden, neither one are proposing anything like the wars in Afghanistan or Iraq, or even a smaller intervention like Libya. Back between 2001-2003 and longer than that, liberal magazines were talking about taking over middle eastern countries and running their entire gov
Behind most of this war fervor was a real kind of liberal Messianic, this really strong savior complex. If you're not against taking out Saddam, you're with Saddam, it was Kendist foreign policy.

Hollywood is a cultural diversity success story because consumers want to see that diversity. You don't need to start pushing people to distort their visions to hit arbitrary metrics....
That being said, I volunteer to be George Washington's brown friend in the next Revolutionary War epic to get that Oscar eligibility.

I wonder if the people who work at the New York Times really think the median black/brown person believes the things these CRT trainers say -- like objectivity and individualism and showing up on time are "whiteness."
The problem isn't so much whites vs nonwhites, the problem is a niche culture of elites who is really out of touch with most people of both backgrounds.
I imagine a lot of this happens to be overcompensating for just not knowing a lot of normie minorities, they read Ibram Kendi and think oh *now I get it.* No, that's not how you get it.
