When I lived in Georgia I'd also meet with right-wing lawmakers -- to try and push them in a more progressive direction. Sometimes it works (criminal justice reform in Georgia was aggressively pushed by Nathan Deal). But just having meetings? Everyone does that.
Literally every Dem lawmaker in Georgia has probably met with either Brian Kemp or Nathan Deal at some point to advocate for their agenda. That's just politics. If Killer Mike was meeting with Kemp to advocate for gutting free college or shielding big banks, that'd be different.

In order to defend this thesis, Kendi cites Derek Chauvin and Kyle Rittenhouse, both of whom were charged with murder? $10 million please.
I also think if you have Kendi's philosophy and you can justify any sweeping statement just by a statistical stereotype, you can't honestly include men in this thesis. Men have it worse than women in the CJ system at every level. It's not a privilege to be a man in prison.
It doesn't mean you just get away with crimes if you're white as Kendi suggests, but there is generally a little bit of a bias towards white folks in many aspects of criminal justice. However, there is also a lot of bias against men. law.umich.edu/newsandinfo/fe…

If this was a thing at UGA when I was there I think it wouldn't last more than a week, left, right, white, and black would find it so absurd. But now the limits of absurd have been pushed way out there.

It's hard to describe to people who weren't politically aware during the Bush years and some of the Obama years -- there was a very strong war fever then that doesn't exist at all now.
Trump and Biden, neither one are proposing anything like the wars in Afghanistan or Iraq, or even a smaller intervention like Libya. Back between 2001-2003 and longer than that, liberal magazines were talking about taking over middle eastern countries and running their entire gov
Behind most of this war fervor was a real kind of liberal Messianic, this really strong savior complex. If you're not against taking out Saddam, you're with Saddam, it was Kendist foreign policy.

Hollywood is a cultural diversity success story because consumers want to see that diversity. You don't need to start pushing people to distort their visions to hit arbitrary metrics....

I wonder if the people who work at the New York Times really think the median black/brown person believes the things these CRT trainers say -- like objectivity and individualism and showing up on time are "whiteness."
The problem isn't so much whites vs nonwhites, the problem is a niche culture of elites who is really out of touch with most people of both backgrounds.
I imagine a lot of this happens to be overcompensating for just not knowing a lot of normie minorities, they read Ibram Kendi and think oh *now I get it.* No, that's not how you get it.
