1. I often get younger ones who say mkoma, I want you to mentor me. Time does not permit us to have one on one session. My answer to you is a proverb I often quote from Achebe: “when mother-cow is chewing grass, the young ones watch its mouth” I will tell you why it’s powerful.
2. It means, you learn from those who have come before you. The cow does not tell it’s young how to chew grass. They see her chewing grass and they learn from it. This is what you ought to do. You watch what your elders and peers do and if you like it, you do likewise.
3. This is how I learnt from the likes of Kempoton Makamure, Masipula Sithole, @Welshman_Ncube, @ProfJNMoyo @ProfMadhuku my brothers @TamukaKagoro77 @DrMutasah @DeproseM @Muzvo @SiphoMalunga @Rex27 my sister @EverjoiceWin and many others back when I was a lad at university.
4. I did not go to them to say what can I do? How do I do it? I just watched & learnt from them by their works as intellectuals back in the day. These days I love it when I see younger hands like taking up the tasks and growing @DrThompsonLaw @samkebusiness @tinomabwe
5. I may occasionally have disagreements with some of these people who were my “mentors” today. And you may be surprised to see their names here. But none of that takes away the contributions they made to my consciousness as a young student. You learn from everyone!

Tips

1. One of the first lessons I learnt in the field when I went onto the dance-floor was that you have to be very selective about whom you tell things especially your whereabouts in times of crisis. Because if they are caught & tortured, they’ll squeal #ZimbabweanLivesMatter
2. The other was that the one person you can truly trust is yourself. The third was that persons closest to you can be the most dangerous. That’s because you trust them & you lower your guard. If they are weak they are easily bought. If they are captured, they’ll squeal.
3. The other is the honey-trap. Politicians or technocrats in corridors of power find themselves enjoying growing attention & adulation. The delusional might think they have suddenly become more handsome or beautiful. But not all such attention is innocent.

1. I have had the advantage of listening to a sermon delivered by Bishop Mupandasekwa of the Catholic Church. I’ve not heard a more powerful delivery in a long time. The message is loud and clear: the Bishops are undeterred. They remain resolute. #themarchisnotended
2. The Bishop says leaders prefer to be given letters in private, so that they can reject them or pretend to the citizens that they are smart. But Pastoral Letters are for the flock. They are not private letters as a boyfriend would write to a girlfriend #ZimbabweanLivesMatter
3. He says Pastoral Letters are written to the flock so that they know the position of the Church & they also stand in that position. Pastoral Letters are not determined or stopped by political leaders. He says they are not communicated in private & don’t skirt around the truth.

1. I don’t recall a time when the regime has been in such fire-firefighting mode:
• Defending ED & threats over Draxgate
• JOC’s bizarre statement denying existence of a “coup rumour”
• Issuing threats over the Farm Mechanisation Scandal
• Attacking the abducted MDC Trio
2. More statements:
• Attacking the MDC Alliance & organisers concerning 31 July
• Attacking Julius Malema & EFF concerning land compensation
• Attacking the ANC Secretary General for condemning human rights violations
3. More statements:
• Severely attacking US Ambassador
• Defending Kuda Tagwirei after US sanctions
• Statement chiding South Africa for intervening by sending envoys
• Letter severely criticising African Union head for raising concerns over human rights violations

1. This is for Western Lobbyists backing Zimbabwe’s brutal regime & making profits out of the tears & blood of suffering Zimbabweans. They have previously been listed as:
@BallardFirm
@avenustrategies
@btpadvisers
Mercury Public Affairs & the UK parent Mercury International Image
2. The above is an image of Tawanda Muchehiwa, Zimbabwe’s most recent torture survivor. He’s just 22. There are more graphic pictures of brutality by the regime you are backing. It’s people like Tawanda, poor taxpayers, who are paying your fees to sugarcoat the Mnangagwa regime.
3. Tawanda was badly tortured. Mentally, the young man is traumatised. Physically he’s a wreck. Reports indicate he’s having renal failure. So @BallardFirm @avenustrategies @btpadvisers Mercury Public Affairs, maybe you have no sense of embarrassment but you can’t fool the world Image

1. If you follow the reasoning of ZANU PF chaps, they think the best answer to revelations of corruption is to say MDC politicians are also in it. How it works: when they loot, they give a few on the side, not because they’re sincere but because it’s good material for blackmail.
2. The moment the opposition tries to raise its head, they simply remind individuals of what they have on them. That’s what they also do internally. Everyone at the top gets something so that no one can rat against others. That’s why it’s essential to avoid getting compromised.
3. These guys should understand that this is beyond partisan politics. When it comes to paying bills for political elites, everyone pays, be they ZANU PF or MDC. Many reasonable ZANU PF people are as appalled by these egregious acts of corruption as their MDC counterparts.

1. Zimbabwe, don’t listen to the view that the RBZ Debt Assumption Act didn’t cover the Farm Mechanisation Debt. I’ll explain what happened. But the real BIGGIE, the one we await an angel to reveal, is the ZAMCO scam; debts that were transferred from banks to you the taxpayers!
2. Each day I’m checking if an angel who loves Zimbabweans has done the Lord’s work. The ZAMCO list would weigh better than gold. Zimbabweans deserve to know the elites whose debts they’re paying via ZAMCO. But we’re making progress
3. I’ve previously explained how the RBZ Governor, Dr John Panonetsa Mangundya left CBZ in 2014 to his current role where he soon created ZAMCO to buy non-performing loans (NPLs) from banks. CBZ accounts for 61% of all NPLs sold to ZAMCO. Raises eyebrows in a big way!
