"Free the people! Fight the power! Fuck the police! Revolution!"
On Saturday night, the "They/Them Collective" held another march throughout DC, beginning in Dupont Circle.
"Indict, convict, send those killer cops to jail! The whole damn system is guilty as hell!"
"One! Two! Three! Four! Slavery, genocide and war! Five! Six! Seven! Eight! America was never great!" chanted the activists as they marched through DC.
Ahead of the march, antifa activist @JasonRCharter tried to go "pig fishing" by offering police officers a donut on a fishing rod.
Awe, that's one of those crumb cake ones," one officer replied sarcastically. "That is delicious."
"I'm on a diet so..." rejected another.
Correction to earlier tweet: While "Revolution!" is used in some chants such as "You can't stop the revolution!" in the particular tweet I misheard "abolition" as "revolution."
The FTP March went to 17th street near Dupont, the site of several gay bars.
"You're going to listen to the stories of the murders of Black people within the DMV killed by the pigs, paid for by your tax dollars," they told patrons, who they blocked from filming with umberellas.
One patron from a gay bar called JR's insisted on filming.
The FTP activists were insistent that bystanders witnessing the event did not film and confronted/blocked him from pointing his phone at the event.
"If you believe that Black lives matter... I ask you, I challenge you, to raise your fist in solidarity!"
Most patrons at the restaurants did so.
"When you're asked to raise your fist up in the air, you are showing solidarity of which side of the history you stand on," an organizer said.
"When you don't raise your hand in solidarity, what you're saying is that you are comfortable to be white supremacist."
One on looker claimed to be "on your side" to the protesters but called it "bullshit" that they were blocking him from filming.
The FTP march continued, chanting "ACAB! Fuck the police!" and later "It's a revolution! It's a revolution!"
"Hands up, fight back!"
Some people filmed from the patio of Larry's Lounge, another gay bar.
"Raise your fist up the air, give us a clap... but please don't record the march. We don't want to snitch on freedom fighters."
A waiter asked patrons to stop filming as activists used umbrellas to block.
"Thank you for your own cooperation" said the organizer after most patrons stopped filming.
A line of cops on bikes followed and didn't respond as fireworks went off (second half of this clip.)
The group was well-received in Adam's Morgan, where some bars offered free water and @TownTavernDC offered bathroom use to the protesters.
A line of cops on bikes followed closely behind the activists along with cruisers behind.
Sgt. Travis Maguire argued with protesters, who demanded the cops stay 30 feet behind them.
Sgt. Maguire said that from the back of the core march, he'd bet $100 he was already 30 ft back.
"You do realize that they give us a book with everyone's picture and name," Sgt. Travis Maguire told the protesters.
The protesters tried to get him to say their names outloud to prove it.
"Do you think it's sad that #DeonKay is dead?" an activist asked.
"I have no idea who he is," said Sgt. Maguire.
"That's why I enjoy your marches so much, because I learn so much," added Maguire. "Did you guys preach about him tonight, because if so, I missed that part."
"Just because you put a little mask on does not change you," said Sgt. Maguire. "I could go back to the book and find out everything about you."
The march continued.
I asked Sgt. Maguire about the book, which he says is called a "beat book."
I plan to try to FOIA it.
If you were hoping to see that entire conversation in HD, you're in luck!
Here's uncut video of that, perfect for citing if anyone else wants to try to FOIA the confirmed-to-exist "beat book" described by the cops:
The protesters finished near the White House by chanting the Assata Shakur quote:
“It is our duty to fight for our freedom.
It is our duty to win.
We must love each other and support each other.
We have nothing to lose but our chains.”
Here’s my full summary video of last night’s #FTP march in DC. As always, all footage available to license.

DHS, using a violent felon as an informant who they say "may be assisting law enforcement in the hopes of future payment" has charged alleged Latin Kings member Juan Martinez with soliciting the murder-for-hire of a law enforcement official in "Operation Midway Blitz."
2) According to the feds, Martinez, going by the name "monkey****" wrote on Snapchat “2k on info cuando lo agarren,” or “$2,000 on information when you get him" and "10k if u take him down."
3) While the complaint calls the alleged victim "a senior law enforcement member of the Border Patrol Operation Midway Blitz," Chicago Tribune says a source identified the alleged target as Border Patrol commander Gregory Bovino.
VIDEO THREAD: Protesters briefly blocked traffic nearby the Broadview ICE facility Saturday night, but Illinois State troopers arrived, promptly shouting at them "OUT OF THE ROAD NOW!" and forming a police.
"Move back!" the troopers yelled as they used batons to push the crowd.
2) “Get back!” Yelled Illinois Troopers as they continued to push the crowd after they got off the road.
“You could have killed her” a protester yelled after another toppled over. “She hit her head!”
“Unlawful assembly!” repeated the trooper in command.
3) Illinois troopers approached and took the man who had originally led the group to march on the street onto the ground, arresting him.
“Shame! Shame!” The crowd yelled at police, calling them “Gestapo.”
VIDEO THREAD: Crowds confronted ICE agents in Brighton Park, Illinois after agents shot a woman there who they say had blocked their vehicles while armed with a gun.
Some threw objects at ICE vehicles, and agents replied by tossing tear gas out the windows and at crowds.
2) ICE agents threw tear gas into the Brighton Park neighborhood, with canisters ending up on bystander porches and under parked cars.
3) ICE, CBP, ATF, and FBI agents gathered near the scene of the shooting, where protesters yelled at them as well.
One agent danced along to chants of "No hate! No fear! ICE is not welcome here!"
VIDEO THREAD: Illinois State and local police joined forces with ICE and other federal agents to push back protesters outside the Broadview ICE facility, making several arrests Friday morning.
Unlike prior weeks, agents used blunt force rather than chemical irritant weapons.
2) As protesters attempted to block ICE vehicles from entering or exiting the facility, Illinois State troopers pushed them aside, in some cases even physically picking them up, placing them on the grass nearby, and making arrests.
ICE agents waved as they drove by.
3) "Get back!" shouted Illinois State troopers using batons as they shielded ICE agents in vehicles from the protesters.
Broadview Police Chief Thomas Mills, who has previously been critical of ICE, watched the situation closely, in person.
Just now: Woman protesting outside Broadview ICE facility is shot repeatedly with sting balls, thrown to the ground, and ultimately maced point blank in the face as she attempts to block ICE agents from leaving the facility in a vehicle.
After initially appearing to let the woman go, ICE agents approached the circle of activists attempting to treat the woman’s facial burns from mace, and arrested her, bringing her into the ICE facility she has been protesting today.
Shortly after that protester who had been maced, shot with less lethals, and thrown to the ground was taken inside the ICE facility, an ambulance arrived there as well.
Documentary video thread: The New York Young Republican Club led a vigil for Charlie Kirk Friday night in New York City.
Bishop Nektarios of Diokleia led mourners in prayer: "May the God of all consolation embrace his wife and children with tender mercy and grant them strength in this hour of sorrow."
"That bullet did not kill Charlie Kirk. It made him immortal forever, a martyr in our movement!" said NYYRC President Stefano L. Forte. "We are all Charlie Kirk Now!"
2) "In Charlie Kirk's memory, let's make sure we keep free speech alive!" said Republican Mayoral candidate Curtis Silva. "Let it not be in vain!"
3) "He honestly was one of the reasons that I actually woke up and learned how to think for myself," one mourner says of Charlie Kirk.
Others praised Kirk primarily for his dialogues with college students.
