Our hope is that this tracker will create transparency about unsafe schools, including crowded classrooms, insufficient ventilation, lack of mask policies.

We hope these data will drive advocacy for better public health policies in our schools.

Tonight's LTC round-up. We're going to start with this portrait of a happy 100-yo mum with #dementia, with her pup. This right here, this is what our elders deserve.

Instead, this this what we have. In two nights, we've lost 89 more people to #COVID19. Steady 78% of our deaths to date. Are our leaders treating it like an emergency? Sure doesn't seem so.

ON wants to create an "iron ring" to protect LTC residents. Dr. @NathanStall calls it an "iron sieve". LTCs - like schools - are part of the community. Community prevalence is #1 predictor of a home having an outbreak.
COVID rates need to ⬇️ to help LTC!

Tonight's LTC round-up. The count continues. By @NoLore's reckoning, 9,220 of 11,710 deaths in 🇨🇦 from #COVID19 are in LTC/RH homes.

That's 4 out of 5 deaths.

Please send info to @NoLore; BC/SK seem to be esp. bad with data.

On the other hand, ON's got a ton of data, and nothing seems to be changing. Nearly 400 people that were with us in the summer are now gone, because we didn't prevent their deaths.

But don't be fooled by all the data in ON. There's a lot that's not easily transparent, such as this: 👇🏾
