The month started with a complaint from Mumbai's AC local train commuters on CR of windows blocked by ads due to poor workmanship and the dangers of vinyl and fire hazards!

Then was the story of catering getting affected on Mumbai trains as Sewri base kitchen shut due to lack of LPG and premium trains started getting ready-to-eat meals. Railways then approached the government to make catering as essential service!

LIVE! Visit to Gaimukh station of Mumbai Metro Green Line 4 for the first train trial. The station has two sidings, an island platform and a sort of home platform. The sidings go to Mogharpada carshed and one for the stabling line. Multiple crossovers on the viaduct. The trial train is on the Up line. #TrainsAreComing

The first trial train run of Mumbai Metro Green Line 4 from Gaikmukh station at 12 noon today in BEML rake D2FO15.

Gaimukh station has pit lines and stabling lines. The key station has crossovers for Mogharpada carshed on one side and for the future extension to the other side.

The much-awaited Vande Bharat sleeper version train arrived in Mumbai on RDSO trials on Wednesday. A thread on the interiors and overall review.

Originally dubbed at Train 20 by @ManiSudhanshu58's team, the much delayed Vande Bharat sleeper trainset is a semi-high-speed, long-distance electric multiple unit train, designed to replace the Rajdhani Express. The trial train arrived at Mumbai Central at 1348hrs. This is the entry.

FIRST RIDE! Mumbai's first underground Metro Aqua Line 3. Let's take a ride. The platform is three floors down.
