Ultimate has been a big part of making it though school and anxiety for me for the last 6 years. Since that’s a big question mark this year I’ve decided to challenge myself to run everyday for the next 100 days!
Only rules are 1) the run must be more than a mile and 2) the run must be longer than 15 minutes. I’ve never run outside of training for practice so this is what seems reasonable to me
Day 1 is done :)
I’m definitely a little out of shape from not doing much the last two months but getting moving today was what I needed
Day 2 ✅
Decided to run after learning a lot of biology today- legs tired, brain tired, heart happy
Got this in after a very long day. Kinda surprised my legs were not super sore but not mad about it
Day 4 ✅
Also decided to go for my first morning run tomorrow at 8am! We’ll see it that changes how I feel about the morning (odds seem low tho 😅)
Day five included this at 9am and a 5pm CrossFit workout with my roommate because we needed a break from zooms all day.
Today I tried the Nike- first run guided run before work. A 10:30 am run wasn’t too bad. However since I cannot bend over lol because my quads have decided they no longer want to move- the consequences of 8 hours of standing after 6 straight days of running 🙃
Day 7 ✅
Feeling a lot of anxiety today post work for the upcoming week. Really didn’t want to run in the cold, but I went anyways and I’m proud of that. Trying to remind myself days might be hard but that’s okay- and today it was worth it
This was day 8 (from yesterday) ✅
Also just ate a lot of ice cream so we’ll see how today goes #worthit
Been feeling really distracted this week and it’s definitely making runs harder. It’s probably that plus last weeks workouts’ toll on my body. Trying to find the joy in working towards my goal today
101 fever means today is not going to be a running day :/ will resume tomorrow (or when okay again) since I don’t think this counts as skipping a day
Was planning on jumping back into this today- but woke up very exhausted so hopefully tomorrow. Definitely not a great time to get sick but I’m getting better!
Day 1 again- definitely not an easy run (as I’m not totally better yet) but it was nice to get outside after a long day of work
Day 2- got this in as late as possible but it felt like a really GOOD run, especially afte yesterday! Definitely feeling less sick which is super good
Oh, I ran a 5k yesterday and ate pad Thai for breakfast!
Day 4 - a baby run to balance out yesterday’s 5k
Days 5, 6, 7, and 8 ✅
Days 9,10, and 11 ✅
I am now further that before in the challenge and am 5 miles from 50 total miles
Days 12,13,14 (not pictured because it was a practice!)and 15 ✅
Starting to think I run faster/ harder during exam weeks. It definitely helps to have at least 15 minutes a day I know not for studying!
