Vietnamese Americans lean more Republican on average than other Asian American groups, but some of the younger generation, like Anabelle and Bee, who identify as progressive, may be slowly changing that. They spoke about what it is like to navigate politics within their community
Meanwhile, the GOP seems to have made some modest gains since 2016 in courting Indian Americans, one of the historically more Democratic-leaning subgroups (although there has been little change since 2018).
