1. If you’re like me you’ve probably wondered why God doesn’t make it easier for us. Why doesn’t he for example make himself visible? That should make it easy to believe him, though it must be said it didn’t help Thomas. #Illuminare
2. You’ve also probably wondered why he doesn’t speak audibly. And why do we need to seek his will instead of just knowing it? #Illuminare
3. And why can’t we just get healing for our diseases immediately, why do we need to confess his word, believe for days, months, or even years before we see our healing? #Illuminare
4. To be fair, Jesus did manifest in human form several times in the Old Testament. He appeared to Abraham during his inspection tour of Sodom for instance. Genesis 18. #Illuminare
5. And he did spend those thirty-three odd years on earth with Peter and Co. Since he ascended upstairs however, he’s been intangible and invisible. #Illuminare
6. The problem the disciples had is the exact opposite of what we have. They struggled with believing Jesus was deity. They knew him in human form, or to use a Bible expression, they knew him “after the flesh.” 2 Corinthians 5:16. #Illuminare
7. We on the other hand are struggling to relate to an incorporeal God. We’re relating to “nothingness.” We can’t see him, have no idea what he looks like. #Illuminare
8. What if we look at things from God’s perspective? Our dimension is extremely restrictive to a being like God. Our dimension is bound by time. Time is a limitation. #Illuminare
9. Besides, we’re technologically backward even though we like to imagine we’re very brilliant. We think so because we’re our own standard. There is no intelligent species for us to measure ourselves against. #Illuminare
10. It’s why we see going to the moon or Mars as a great achievement. Becoming a “multi-planetary species” has become our new buzz word. In truth however, all that stuff is mediocre stuff, at least from God’s perspective. #Illuminare
11. It’s impossible for God to function optimally in our world. We’re analogue to his digital. From what transpired on the Mount of Transfiguration Jesus had not been expressing his essence. #Illuminare
12. Which is why he couldn’t wait to get out of here. He goaded the Pharisees so much until they killed him. That was his exit strategy. #Illuminare
13. Our earthly languages will be difficult for God to use. Considering his nature it will be like picking letters on a typewriter with one finger to make a speech. Human language is mechanical. It’s a terribly poor medium of expression. #Illuminare
14. How for example do you capture God’s love for humanity in human language? It’s virtually impossible. It’s why God opted for dramatization. He killed his son and the message became clear. No amount of “I love you” can express what the cross did. #Illuminare
15. We struggle with our languages too. The Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka resigned himself to certain limitations in his translation of D.O Fagunwa’s book, Ògbójú Ọdẹ nínú Igbó Irúnmọlẹ̀ (1938). It was written in Yoruba language. Soyinka was translating to English. #Illuminare
16. Transliterated, the title of that book should read, A Brave Hunter in the Forest of Spirits. But that’s a horribly tame translation, and it cannot be cured. So, Soyinka opted for, A Forest of a Thousand Daemons. It hints at phantasmagoria. #Illuminare
17. The word “irúnmọlẹ̀” actually references Ifa oracle. It points to the energies and possibilities in the universe - “Igba irúnmọlẹ̀ ọ̀tún, igba imọlẹ̀ òsì, ọ̀kànlénírínwó imọlẹ̀ àárín” – 300 males to the right, 200 males on the left, and 401 males in the center.
18. Irúnmọlẹ̀s are also called Òrìṣàs. Òrìṣàs are special purpose entities in Yoruba pantheon. #Illuminare
19. And so we see sociolinguistic struggles between English language and the West African Yoruba language. English just can’t capture the dimensions of Yoruba cosmogony. Fagunwa’s book is not Harry Potter. #Illuminare
20. God understands the limitations of human language. It’s why he would rather “lead” us by his Spirit. “Leading” is not bit by bit instruction. It’s a “knowing” on the inside. #Illuminare
21. Knowings are like bursts of enlightenment. A knowing dawns on you, on the inside of you. It’s like a pulse of light. It’s a bit “warm.” These pulses are barely one thousandth of a second in length, may be even less. You have to capture them. #Illuminare
22. In one pulse of light there’s so much information. The data is modelled multidimensionally albeit in video format. Events are compressed. #Illuminare
23. Knowings come coded. They’re decoded into human understanding by our spirit. That’s how we “know” what to do in a given situation, or know a prayer has been answered. #Illuminare
24. And now we can understand Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:17-19: “I pray that the eyes of your heart – the very center & core of your being may be enlightened, flooded with light by the Holy Spirit so you will know the divine guarantee to which he has called you, – #Illuminare
25. – the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and the immeasurable and unlimited greatness of his active power in us who believe.” Advanced Li-Fi technology? Immersive connectivity? #Illuminare
26. Why would Paul pray for us to have a revelation of these things despite the fact he’s already told us about them? It’s because of the phenomenon I term “explosion.” #Illuminare
27. When the Holy Spirit floods your being with light the compressed data explodes on the inside of you. That’s what we call revelation. It’s how we get that feeling our head would burst as we listen to a message, or we become so excited as we read God’s word. #Illuminare
28. When God explodes knowledge on the inside of you, you have no option but to bow in worship like Paul. Ephesians 3:14. Information is not the same as understanding. One is 2D, the other is 5D. #Illuminare
29. But God found a compromise between his enlightenment system and human language. He created a hybrid called “tongues.” #Illuminare
30. He that speaks in tongues speaks mysteries to God. His understanding is unfruitful. 1 Corinthians 14:2. You can’t translate tongues you can only interpret it. 1 Corinthians 14:26. It’s coded. #Illuminare
31. Tongues is a technological tool. It has other functions. For example, the Bible says when we speak in tongues we edify ourselves. 1 Corinthians 14:4. #Illuminare
32. The word translated “edify” suggests the charging of a battery. This explains why when you’re afraid and you pray in tongues courage rises on the inside of you. You feel “warm.” You’re charging. #Illuminare
33. What is obvious from all this is that to God, communication is not so much about talking, but a multidisciplinary technological implement. #Illuminare
34. If you want to “hear” God, sensitivity of the spirit is important. You have to eliminate static. Fear, anxiety, worry and carnality are spiritual static. #Illuminare
35. Chances are if you hear God audibly he’s screaming into your ear. He’s trying to get your attention. #Illuminare
36. Be spirit conscious. When you’re spirit conscious you’ll feel the presence of God around you. #Illuminare
37. The dimension God exists in is phenomenally technologically advanced. Ezekiel Buzi, popularly known as Prophet Ezekiel caught a glimpse of some of that technological advancement circa 600 BC. #Illuminare
38. He saw mobile biomorphic technology. Ezekiel famously described the navigation consoles as “wheel within a wheel.” Ezekiel 1:16. In other words they were gyroscopic. #Illuminare
39. Boy, those machines packed energy! The thrusters sounded like “the noise of a battlefield.” The machines looked like “a huge ball of fire.” #Illuminare
40. It’s easier for us to step up than for God to step down. The new birth allows us to step up. The reborn human spirit docks with God’s spirit. Technological integration is feasible because they share source code. #Illuminare
41. God is not making things difficult for us. There’s just a technology gap. #Illuminare
42. I want you to give your life to Jesus. Please pray this prayer: “Father I come to you in the name of Jesus. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that God raised him from the dead. I am saved. Amen.” #Illuminare

#Illuminare - ON FAITH PART 9: HOW FAITH WORKS

Begins now 👇
1. So, here’s how the faith thing works. It’s like a machine. Think of a car engine with three gears or cogs that are all held together by a fan belt. That’s what the machinery looks like. #Illuminare
2. The first gear is the provisions made by God. The Bible says God has blessed us with EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 1:3 KJV. #Illuminare

ON FAITH PART 8: HEALTH AND WEALTH

Begins now 👇

#Illuminare
1. The Bible says to visit the house of mourning if you want cogitative wisdom. Ecclesiastes 7:2-4. The house of mourning is not necessarily a funeral parlor. A hospital qualifies as house of mourning. #Illuminare
2. You become sober when you visit a hospital. It’s the opposite of a house of mirth – a night club or beer parlor. What is alarming is the continual supply of patients. The flow just never stops. #Illuminare

ON FAITH PART 7: THE AGENDA

1. Humanly speaking, Jesus had to have been an extraordinary individual. There are no two ways about it. While his betrayal was in progress, and he knew what was going on, he instituted the rite of communion. 1 Corinthians 11:23 AMPC. #Illuminare
2. He just carried on with the program. Communion was the dramatized pre-announcement of the program of atonement. This is in consonance with God’s time-honored tradition of announcing stuff before it happens. Isaiah 42:9. #Illuminare
3. On a sentimental level, the rite of communion was designed to be an In Memoriam - like the placement of a memorial advert for a loved one in the dailies on the anniversary of death. Jesus said we should do it in affectionate remembrance of him. 1 Corinthians 11:24 AMPC.

1. It’s virtually impossible to appreciate the full ramification of the New Testament without recourse to the legal construct undergirding it. The New Testament is resolutely mounted on a tripod of commercial law, criminal law and constitutional law. #Illuminare
2. There are other legal dimensions but those are the major three. Without those legal authorities the New Testament will not be efficacious in heaven, on earth or under the earth. It will just be history. #Illuminare
3. That’s not to say only lawyers can appreciate the New Testament. It’s the Holy Spirit that unveils the word. But there’s a way and manner a Paul would read the scriptures that Peter can’t. #Illuminare
