I've been thinking about @chrissyteigen all day — not normally something I'd say, but this is 2020.

Just over 8 years ago, I went home with no baby just like she did. 1/4
I knew from the ultrasound that my son's heart had already stopped, but because I was so far along I still had to go through labor and delivery. Every moment of pain was a step closer to holding my silent little boy. 2/4
And in a matter of minutes, he was there. We held him, we cried, and we went home.

But it was far from over. The pain still came in other forms. The absolute worst was "un-telling" all the people who had known that I was pregnant. 3/4

If you want justice for #GeorgeFloyd, demand it at the ballot box. Petition your government for redress of grievances. Stand outside your city hall or on the nearest street corner with a sandwich board and megaphone.

If you insist instead on destroying your city answer me this:
Who will demand justice for the business owners whose livelihoods you've taken away? Who will help them when you've ensured that they can't afford to move and are too afraid to stay?
Who will demand justice for the residents who are terrified to leave their homes or even allow their children to play outside because you've turned their neighborhoods into war zones?

My 15-year-old finished a half marathon today. Because COVID-19 caused the cancellation of both her official race and her last few practices, she had to finish the training and run alone. 1/
13.1 miles is tough.

It's tougher when you don't have the adrenaline surge of "RACE DAY" and other runners all pushing each other a little bit harder, all working toward the same common goal.

It's tougher when you're 15 and "long run" days take over "sleeping in" days. 2/

By the time House Democrats voted to impeach @realDonaldTrump, there were already active cases of #coronavirus in China — and it's possible that the Chinese government was already hiding data about its origins and potential to spread from the rest of the world. 1/
By the time the Senate acquitted Trump, China — with help from the @WHO and countless media outlets worldwide — had perpetuated the lie that #COVID19 was not transmissible person-to-person. That lie cost the world weeks of preparation time. 2/
Also by the time the Senate acquitted Trump, he had begun to take action. He cut off all travel from China — with exceptions for American citizens abroad — and created a #coronavirus task force. 3/
