THREAD: Checking out the policies and procedures for fans at Mile High ahead of Week 3 against the Buccaneers.
5,700 fans will be allowed. Big test for @Broncos organization in the COVID era. @KDVR
Right off the bat, you’re gonna see A LOT of signage. More than 37,000 telling you what to do, where to stand and where to go. @KDVR
All the gates are gonna be open. Contactless tickets this year. The team says follow instructions on your ticket to follow which gate to go to.
Lots of signs and reminders as you get to concessions. Over 500 hand sanitizing stations throughout the stadium 🏟 @KDVR
The @Broncos say they’ve spent A LOT of money on stadium upgrades they were going to make anyways but we’re accelerated because they line up with COVID procedures. Bigger focus on kiosks for concessions. @KDVR
Bathroom tour 🚽
Contactless. Clean. In and out. Every other sink is shut down with signage, and partitions between mirrors so you’re not bumping shoulders with anyone 👍
You’ll notice some seats are actually tied together to keep the pod structure throughout.
Think of the whole experience like going to a restaurant. Don’t take your mask off until you’re in your seat eating or drinking. @KDVR
Watch #FOX31 at 5 to get a better idea of how this all will look and feel. @KDVR
Week 3 will be a huge test. The @Broncos say they could host up to 17,000 fans at Empower Field, but will have to work with @CDPHE and @GovofCO to incrementally make that happen. @KDVR

So far @CUBoulder has found 16 positive #COVID19 cases through its medical services. This doesn’t include outside testing. They’re working on wastewater testing to be able to detect any community spread. @KDVR
Council now discussing ahead of a vote. Councilwoman Angela Lawson says she will NOT be voting for Wilson. She calls the process political. She supports Chief Wilson, but wanted Marcus Dudley to be the pick.
Councilwoman Bergan says she supports @APDChiefWilson, saying she truly cares about @AuroraGov and the residents, and is willing to make changes for accountability within @AuroraPD.
THREAD: Recently got these numbers from our #ProblemSolvers CORA request.
Since 2018, @DenverPolice has spent roughly $584,000 on less-than-lethal munitions. In 2020, the department spent more than 2X on these items than the previous two years combined. @KDVR
2/ According to Denver administrators, @DenverPolice doesn't budget for these items. DPD purchases them as needed, and the cost is absorbed in the budget as an expense. @KDVR
3/ As much as these expenses look large, as I previously reported, @DenverPolice spent more than $2.6 million in overtime covering the first few weeks of unrest through the #GeorgeFloyd protests downtown. @KDVR
Restaurants can have 50% of the posted occupancy code limit, and a maximum of 50 patrons. Parties have to be 8 people or fewer and must be 6 feet apart. @KDVR
Restaurants encouraged to continue curbside pickup/delivery and work with local authorities to get expanded space for outdoor dining. @KDVR
