1)
Several Democrat Politicians, lots of “experts on CNN, MSNBC, and others, have talked about how they want to get rid of the Electoral College.
2)
Yesterday, I heard three of them. One US Senator, one US Congressman and one News Anchor, claiming that if the Democrats can get control of the House and the Senate, they will vote to get rid of the Electoral College.
3)
Now, these people clearly fail to understand that the Electoral College is in the Constitution. A vote by the Congress cannot change the Constitution.
4)
To Get rid of the Electoral College, they would have to draft a new amendment to the Constitution, get it ratified by a 2/3rds majority of the State Legislatures, and then hold a vote in Congress where it would have to pass a 2/3rds majority of members of both houses.
5)
Now, think for a minute. Does any sane person believe that the State Legislators, or the members of Congress from smaller states, from the 45 states that would lose influence by disposing of the electoral college, would pass such an amendment?
6)
So, is it that those calling for such a change are ill-informed, or are they stupid?
Same problem with the appointment of Supreme Court Members.
7)
Yesterday I heard many “experts” saying that the Democrats could “pack the court” if Democrats can capture the Senate in November this year, and to quote Senator Schumer, “WHETHER OR NOT TRUMP WINS A SECOND TERM”
8)
PERHAPS SCHUMER SHOULD READ THE CONSTITUTION. The Democrats seem to forget that the Senate cannot nominate anyone to the Court. Only the President can do that according to the Constitution."

המהפכה היהודית ממשיכה
The Jewish Revolution Continues.
Simple answer, really.
1)
The giving of the Torah to the Jewish nation, to Am Yisrael, is the only real revolution in human history.
It is the only revolution that changed the relationship of mankind and its Creator, established the principle that all people are equal under the law,
2)
created the concept of the presumption of innocence, a protection from the influence of the powerful (still unique worldwide, it seems), and defined civilization and

But I have a question.
If Epstein is such a great bad guy, and if Ghislaine Maxwell is deserving of a 20-year prison sentence, it seems to me that the parents of the underage girls should have some responsibility as well.
2)
After all, in a number of cases, girls 14–17 disappeared for days at a time, without parents seemingly seeing anything wrong. If one’s daughter is gone for several nights, missing school for days, and comes home with lots of money,

Those that watch old movies, perhaps will remember what a boarding house is. But to explain what it is for everyone else…..
1)
A Boarding House was generally a large older home or building where the owners, usually older and in need of extra income, would rent out rooms, provide utilities, communal meals at least three times a day, for minimal rent. Often residents would share chores.
2)
Most often a Boarding House would be sort of something between a retail deal and a family, but providing many of the comforts (friendship, caring, responsibility) one associates with family.

I waited until I could read it and I am very happy to see a lot of positive elements, especially considering how in the past US-India relations were often at odds,
1)
partly because of Indian protectionism and party because of political considerations on both sides, both of which were essentially without much sense.
2)
In short, the new agreement opens the door to a lot more trade between the USA and India in addition to a lot more investment into development in India. Tarriffs are to be lowered, with the prospect of further reductions as time passes.

Nostra Aetate, Israel, and the Boundaries of Catholic Faith
In recent years, a rising number of voices—especially in online spaces—have attempted to discredit Nostra Aetate, the 1965 declaration of the Second Vatican Council...

on the Church’s relationship to non-Christian religions and, above all, to the Jewish people. Some portray it as a betrayal of tradition, others as the product of infiltration or corruption. These claims are not only historically false.
2)
They are theologically dangerous. What is at stake is nothing less than whether the Catholic Church remains faithful to Scripture, to its own Magisterium, and to the moral truth it painfully recovered in the aftermath of the Holocaust.
